“Most amazing Cottage - Hosts left fresh baked bread, fresh eggs and everything we needed to cook. Rooms were beautifully appointed and fireplace well stacked. The fire toasted the room up quickly and I enjoyed the bathtubs. Close to good vineyards as well. Kids played happily in the large garden and then we all went for a walk down to the river. Tom suggested we bring the kids to his farm as we left so they could collect the eggs. Quite possibly the best rental cottage in NZ.”

“The house looks oldish on the outside but is contemporary on the inside (we like old buildings you see). Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, the owner is super friendly and man his breakfast is really the BEST! Again I say it's worth the $ just for the breakfast. :)”

“Note. This was accommodation on a business trip, but i so regretted that my wife was not here i selected 'Couples". An absolute slice of luxury just on the outer edge of Taradale. Font vome here alone - you will be introuble with your partner. With three well appointed bedrooms each wth ensuite would well suite a group of couples or a family. Great tech and fast wifi also. I connected to the bluetooth entertainment centre and enjoyed my own tunes immensely. The spa was A+++”

“The verandah is in a quiet and private setting overlooking the sea. Lovely old house, which has undergone a refurbishment giving it a modern feel while still keeping it's charm. Warm and extremely comfortable bed. The family who run the verandah are lovely. Will miss breakfast on the verandah each morning with those amazing sea views.”

“Absolutely amazing 2 night stay. Loved every minute. We stayed with our two teenage daughters who loved sleeping in the loft. Everything was pristine and clean. Bedding was comfortable and the garden was beautiful. Easy walk downhill into Napier town centre. If we could package up the house and take it with us on holiday, we would! “A fantastic B&B with very friendly hosts, Maria & Tony! We spent 4 nights with them over Christmas 2024, and it was like staying at a friend's house! The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was fantastic! We were even allowed to use the barbecue. We also had a breathtaking view of Hawkes Bay! Since it's located a bit outside of Napier, a car is a must. We 100% recommend this B&B!”

“I have stayed there with my husband on 3 separate occasions and enjoyed the Tranquillity and the views. It has been a pleasure to drive up and down the tree lined driveway - Park into a courtyard which has the entrance to your own 1st floor spacious apartment. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the pheasant call woke us in the morning to beautiful Hawkes Bay weather. Then we packed the car to go trout fishing on the nearby rivers. A day of golf, then unfortunately we had to go home. Each trip being much of the same routine. The hosts always ensure your needs are satisfied, lovely couple.”
