   The actual interior of the chalets are finished to a high standard, lovely fittings, very comfortable bed, however this property is not really what it would lead you to believe it is, and the owners really appear like they couldn't care less about their inaccurate description of surroundings and lack of listed amenities. We booked a chalet with a balcony. Images looked amazing, described as being a tranquil oasis in the centre of napier, with lots of added goodies such as wine, cheese board, bbq etc. We thought we'd push the boat out on the very very high price point as it was at the end of our trip, and up until this point all the places we'd stayed in at a much lower price point had been outstanding. How disappointed were we to find that despite booking the chalet with a balcony, we were allocated one without. We were told by the manager that we had our own covered private terrace right next to the property.......so imagine our disappointment when we arrived, outside space was down quite a precarious muddy track, the space itself was clearly never cleaned, a previous guest had re named it on the blackboard 'the dust trap' clearly no staff ever ventured down to clean or check it. The amazing views that they raved about in the description, where of a building site, trees had been lost from the front of the property making the outlook somewhat bleak. Whilst these things are beyond the control of the owners they do have a duty to describe things accurately, which they really hadn't. Also you would expect the price to be reflective of the building works which started loudly at 7.30am each morning and look like they will continue for some months. We really tried to keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt, but when we asked the owners at 2pm on our last day where was the illusive bbq, we were told that it was far too short notice to provide a bbq even though it was listed as one of the amenities! This property is way overpriced for what you get, the cheese board, which is raved about, consists of 2 x baby bells and a laughing cow cheese spread. The breakfast hamper is some sliced bread and packet cereal. This place could be amazing, instead of which we were left feeling seriously shortchanged with a 'couldn't care less, we've got your money' attitude from the owners. Interesting that reviews are really sporadic on this place indicating that the owners have found a way of filtering out anything negative. We would never normally leave a review that isn't positive, but really feel that the information on the website and booking sites aren't giving a realistic view of what currently to expect.

   Absolutely amazing 5 star accommodation! You feel like your nested deep in a Forrest but your only 4 minutes away from town, everything is emaculate, the walk with all the lights outside are stunning and the bed is so comfortable too. I cannot fault my stay at all. Thankyou

   Such an amazing place. Beautiful view. Feels like your far away for anywhere but when really everything is just down the road. Such a lovely getaway for a special occasion. Didn’t want to leave, could stay there forever. Highly recommend. Hosts were AMAZING!

   One of the most beautiful, perfectly decorated, luxurious stays with stunning atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful greenery and native plants. The attention to detail in it’s presentation is amazing, with thoughtful extras added for a truly perfect stay. I am already planning a reason to return. A perfect getaway, thank you so much! Just perfect.
