“Booked the 2 bedroom apartment and it was brilliant. Amazing value, awesome view, lovely spa bath, washer/drier, tv upstairs and downstairs. Was a bit noisy in the evening if you opened the door but it settled down in time for bed and was quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend, my only suggestion is adding a rubbish bin in the bathroom.”
“This was our first time traveling with our dogs. We were made extremely welcome and accommodated from the first phone call. Rooms are nicely appointed and kept in great condition. Staff were helpful and scruffed the ears of my good boys. The service provided turned our trip into a memorable dog-cation. Saved as our 'go to' from now onwards. Thanks Team Ace High”
“Reading some of these reviews I find really unfair. We had a great stay for 1 week. There were atleast 20 people staying in the hostel at this time and never once did we struggle to find somewhere to cook or chill out in peace. Multiple showers and kitchens. Comments on the clenliness of a hostel is more a reflection on the people staying there than it is the management- it only takes a couple minutes to create a mess. Jason the manager really is a top guy and went out of his way to help me out after an unexpected thing popped up meaning my plans changed, again I find comments criticising him completely out of character and undue. Thanks for having us, would have happily stayed for a couple months to work longer. Jack & Tara”
“The Rotten Apple is the place to be in Hastings. Together with the Common Room the best place! Great atmosphere and nice common area. And the best hostel community Ive ever experienced. So many memories and friends I found here. Definitely my best part in New Zealand so far. If you need an awesome place to stay and work and have the best parties on the weekends, go here!!!!”
“We stayed for one night only but we wished we could stay longer. This motel is better that many hotels and we loved it. Friendly staff ,Clean and beautiful view and everything to make your stay feel welcome. Thank you Beach front motel you will see us again soon.”
“We had a fantastic stay at Marine Land Motel in Napier! The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Perfect location right by the beach and close to cafés and attractions, yet quiet at night. Highly recommend for a comfortable, hassle-free stay!”
“Amazing helpful owners absolutely love our stay here very kid friendly I would highly recommend this place to all great people great environment”
“We loved our 1960's style motel stay. Super clean room, plenty of space, very comfy beds n pillows, quality linen. Loved the fully equipped kitchen and amenities. Pool was clean and staff really friendly. Parked right outside our room. Shower pressure a bit slow but not a problem. Would stay again if we return from Australia. Thank you”
“I enjoyed my stay here over three weeks. Nice and friendly and tidy clean unit. definitely will use again in the future”
“We stayed at the Apple Inn Motel in Hastings for 2 nights over the Christmas–New Year period while attending a funeral in Hawke’s Bay. With everything booked out and only 1 day to organise our accommodation our options were extremely limited. The only room the Apple Inn had available was a studio, which wouldn't have been our first choice, but we had little alternative. On the positive side, the motel was exceptionally cheap, especially given the time of year. The Wi-Fi was excellent and completely free, which was a pleasant surprise. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely - very friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help. Don’t be put off by some of the low reviews here. The Apple Inn is an underrated rough diamond that offers outstanding value for money, particularly if you’re looking for something affordable and practical during a busy period.”
