“One of the best Vindaloos I've ever tasted and I've had quite a few, both from takeaway places and several higher end dine-in restaurants. I've also tried making my own several times but I can't quite crack the code! The person who served me was also very polite and friendly. She even laughed at a lame joke I made after she warned me about how the Vindaloo would be quite spicy.”

“Most often in this day and age it is hard to find A++ customer service, I'd like to give a huge shout out to Caitlyn at The Base, she went the absolute extra mile to help me out, succesfully, confidently and cheerfully!!! Novo, remember this and look after her! 2 other staff at Novo also tried hard to help, they also are worth mentioning, shame I don't know their names, 1 was at Manukau the other was Sylvia Park, shame that they couldnt send the shoes to Hamilton, they weren't allowed to, when they really wanted to! Novo, a sale is a sale. Think about it Novo. I tried calling Novo for help, no answer, no replies to my emails even. I want to thank these 3 people. But Caitlyn, is the one who pulled it together to make it happen! She's 1 in a million. THANK YOU CAITLYN. P.S I LOVE the Novo footwear, Novo is second to none for price, style and originality!! “This was literally the best hotel room I have ever stayed in. They even had a bath tub in the room. Fantastic view of city streets. Great 24 x 7 service, and wasn’t asked for a deposit on the room. And awesome free secure parking.”

“Absolutely loved our time at the hot spring pool! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The 80s music playing in the background added a fun and nostalgic touch to the experience. What stood out was the careful water maintenance – minimal chlorine and sulfur smell, making the soaking truly relaxing. The different pool temperatures catered to all our preferences, and the large pool with the little cannon-like side was a hit with our boys. The real stars of the show were the waterslides – the fastest and longest in NZ, and they didn't disappoint! The rush of the "Kamikaze" slide and the excitement of the longest slide were beyond words. You can adjust the speed, if it gets too fast for you. We were trying to get it all from the slides, hence the speed fraction bruises here and there ;) but the bum-sliding challenge worth it (I won!!!) The only hiccup was the ice-cold shower, which felt more like a challenge, especially on a dark winter evening after enjoying the hot pools. But in a way, it added to the adventure! The bonus of having playgrounds, an aviary with peacocks, parrots, and doves, as well as free-range funky chickens, gave the place a unique charm. As a family with three boys, we had over five hours of non-stop fun. If you're looking for a great time, this hot spring pool is a definite winner. We're already planning our next visit!”

“There were perfect, we are so happy with the results thank you so much !! we did a walk in appointment first impressions they were very Friendly ladies/man :) The time was up to 45 min to an hour which was fantastic with how well the nails came out. The nail art was beautifully done. The prices are reasonable not too expensive which is also good. over all experience was great. We will definitely be coming back.”

“Not sure about the negative reviews from this place but we have been enrolled here since we moved to Hamilton and our experience everytime we visit was fantastic. Staff were awesome. Came back a number of times for our child's routine vaccination and it was a stress free experience. Receptionists are friendly and our GP is great as always. Booked a day prior with a different GP (Dr. Funmi) and she was helpful and listened to my complaints. Did not appear condescending at all. Highly recommended.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. My room was nice and tidy, well maintained, comfortable bed, easy access to the motel and lots of parking spaces. The Managers and Staff are also very polite, friendly, approachable and helpful. The best thing about my room was the big spa bath, it was so relaxing and with the jets going made it that much better, I'm about 6'2 and could comfortably lay in there. I will definitely be staying here again as I travel to Hamilton roughly every 12 days to see my two young daughters who also loved the place. If you're looking for an affordable place, tidy facilities, easy parking, comfortable rooms and friendly approachable staff then I'd highly recommend The Alcamo. “Best take away and dine in experience at Chartwell Mall. Great food at great prices. More than value for money. Enjoy the experience at Shamiana Chartwell and you will never look back. One of the best Indian food restaurant's in Chartwell Mall, Hamilton that I have been to lately. Customer service was outstanding, Food was Amazing and tasty, tender juicy chicken, flavors were there, good Ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would surely recommend their Garlic naan, Butter Chicken, Lamb curry, Aloo Paratha and Chicken Tikka. Great value for money too”

“My room was really well appointed, with everything I could possibly need for a one night stay. I loved the extra little touch of the Christmas card and treats. Just one recommendation - replace the terry-cloth bathmats with non-slip bathmats, as my bathmat slipped out from under me when I was stepping out of the shower, and I had a little fall. But otherwise, everything was great and the price was such good value, so I would happily return.”

“Stayed 2 nights. I spent many nights in this hotel in the early 2000s. The character hasn't changed, it is old world delightful. The room was clean and well serviced. This was a nostalgic stay for me but I am really happy I chose the "La Grand". It is incredibly good value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.”
