Complete hole. Pool full of vomit and bugs. Stayed for 10 minutes got told by others someone had just vomited and left. Got attacked by random guy and old lady who kept screaming you've been here a hour. Don't know how she would have come up with that as there were no staff at all even on entry. No life guard.

This place looked like a storm ran through it and they didn't bother to fix. For the prices they charge you would think they would put some money in getting it restored. Bird poo on all the tables, very disgusting condition bbq hot plates with bird poo not clean but cost $16 an hour to hire. They need brand-new ones. Or maybe just bring your own one. Heaps of hazards everywhere. The lifeguards were old and one even with crutches. Lovely people but definitely need active workers there. The only cool thing there was the slides, the best ive been on and that our kids enjoyed.

We didn't stay in the hotel. Just enjoyed the hot pools and hydro slides, after the Masters Rugby League tournament. Entire venue needs injection of capital investment to revitalize the yesteryear aura of the historically famous Waingaro Thermal Springs. However, still a fun-filled value for pingaz family road trip experience.

Had to wait an hour after booking a time but management gave us extra time in private pool for inconvenience Staff friendly and accommodating. Place need bit of TLC and if your doing private pool 45 for 2 people for half hour you then have to pay extra for using main pools bit unfair management needs to review it But overall great spot and pub on hill for a cold one and feed after.

Went here last weekend. Beautiful day but so cold, there pools were nice and warm. Kids loved the slides. Place could do with some $$ spent on it. But it was clean and tidy, and relaxing.

Absolutely loved our time at the hot spring pool! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The 80s music playing in the background added a fun and nostalgic touch to the experience. What stood out was the careful water maintenance – minimal chlorine and sulfur smell, making the soaking truly relaxing. The different pool temperatures catered to all our preferences, and the large pool with the little cannon-like side was a hit with our boys. The real stars of the show were the waterslides – the fastest and longest in NZ, and they didn't disappoint! The rush of the "Kamikaze" slide and the excitement of the longest slide were beyond words. You can adjust the speed, if it gets too fast for you. We were trying to get it all from the slides, hence the speed fraction bruises here and there ;) but the bum-sliding challenge worth it (I won!!!) The only hiccup was the ice-cold shower, which felt more like a challenge, especially on a dark winter evening after enjoying the hot pools. But in a way, it added to the adventure! The bonus of having playgrounds, an aviary with peacocks, parrots, and doves, as well as free-range funky chickens, gave the place a unique charm. As a family with three boys, we had over five hours of non-stop fun. If you're looking for a great time, this hot spring pool is a definite winner. We're already planning our next visit!

It may look a bit run down however it’s amazing. The staff are amazing and friendly and everything is very clean. Water slides are well looked after and monitored by staff. Would highly recommend! Take food. Although they have a shop the pub next door doesn’t open until the afternoon so bring your own food.

The pools were clean and hot...perfect for a rainy day. Plenty of cover to sit in. These pools have had a long history of various issues but it is well worth the visit and I encourage people to come back. The Hotel is old and small, it to is coming back to life. We arrived for dinner when the power was out, no fire in the lounge so stayed in Sports bar for hamburgers. Just as thinking they were preparing in the bbq, the power came back on. Met some locals playing pool. All good. Over the years we had some good nights here.

Love this place. This is our Go To for a Hot spa, Swim and Hydro Slide with the kids it's absolutely Amazing Especially in the Cooler Seasons. Always leave Feeling Replenished Rejuvenated Renewed after a good soak. Nice Clean Water and Tidy facilities Always Enjoy our stay and Appreciate the Hospitality. Great value for your Bucks as most places charge by the hour which means Here you can Totally Relax and take your time without looking at the time and counting down the minutes, only thing is it's a mission tryna get the kids out when it's home time. Has so much character. We love it just the way it is. Highly Recommend.

This place more than met our expectations after reading the other reviews. It was peaceful and quiet. The facilities were a bit run down but met our needs more than adequately. The pools were clean and warm and we loved our swims and soaks. Plus our little dog was welcome. We will definitely come again. Thank you for your hospitality.
