“We meet up here with friends from school days and early working life a few times a year. It's always a pleasure as the staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is lovely. There is some outdoor seating and lots of inside seating. You can order off the menu or have cabinet food, or have just a coffee/drink if that's what you're wanting. I lived in Te Aroha West for about 8 years till I was 9, and remember the old shops etc so it's a trip down memory lane for me. Some pics of various meals attached.”

“With a vision in my head for how I wanted my bathrooms to look, I had been passively searching the net for a couple of years looking for someone who might be able to custom-make the vanities, when I was fortunate to find Motide in Raglan. Sascha and Christina were willing to try to bring to life my idea of recycled timber fronts and made the whole process so easy despite the distance, with us being in Levin. Sascha is a talented craftsman and he was happy to use recycled macrocarpa cladding from our renovated home which he cleverly worked into front drawers. The vanities were finished within the timeframe they'd given and the communication was great all the way through. The finished result took my breath away, when we called in to collect them. Andrew (who works with Motide) who made the charcoal concrete tops did an amazingly beautiful job of those too. The vanities are now waiting in storage until the bathrooms are complete at which point I will take photos but the few people who have seen them so far have been blown away by how epicly cool they are! We cannot recommend Motide more highly for vision, easy communication, timeliness and very high quality craftsmanship. We now have timeless, one-off pieces of furniture for vanities that will be stunning features in our bathrooms for many years to come, thanks to the fabulous Motide team. If you like working as part of a team or would like to improve your team work and soft skills then I'd definitely recommend taking this paper! It is a large time commitment about 16-20 hours a week but it gives you 30 third year credit too. The staff are all friendly, helpful and easy to talk to, the learning environment will be very different to other papers but it is very effective at encouraging independent learning and planning.”
