   Have always "supported the little guy" and am equidistant from the Huntly and TeRapa Placemakers so have shared my purchase between the two stores but no more! Granted I was only buying one item and the guy before me was buying multiple but as he had disappeared to find more stuff from the shelves, I'd expect the the employee behind the counter might deal with my one item whilst we both waited for the first customer to return...but the server obviously lacked either the mental capacity or customer service accumin to consider it. I returned my one item to the shelves and left. I will now, and suggest you, frequent Mitre10Mega in Te Rapa rather than be ignored in Placemakers.

   We purchased a new combination “Master” padlock from Placemakers Huntly. The padlock was faulty and wouldn’t open once locked to our gate system. We had to break the gate locking mechanism to get it off and they wouldn’t take responsibility for their faulty stock at all. Not helpful or understanding - not even an apology - they just blamed the suppliers. We won’t be using Placemakers Huntly going forward.

   Probably the best Placemakers out there. They delivered our trade mortar to Pauanui without questions, something Placemakers Thames wouldn't do for us. The staff are always helpful. Always went the extra mile to get what we're looking for. Highly recommended.

   Delivered heavy wood but driver expected me to lift it off, had to enlist neighbors help. Both of us are retirees with disabilities. The delivery price I paid I did not expect this too happen.
