I went there to get only one headlight bulb changed, and I was charged $92, yet it only took 5 minutes to complete the job. It ripped off. Don't recommend this place. In response to the owner's comment: yes I called the shop and spoke to Adam before going there. I was told the expensive one would be $92. I said I donβt need the expensive one. I asked what the other price was, but he couldn't tell me the price over the phone. I told him I need the main headlight to be fixed due to work.I asked if I can bring my car over. He said yes. So I drove there and told him the right main headlight is not working. He said he wasn't sure he needed to take a look because there were a few lightbulbs, and he asked me to have a seat while he drove my car to the workshop. Five minutes later he told me itβs fixed. I questioned him why he didn't ask me before changing it as I wanted to know the price before you get the job done.
Had an awesome experience with Speedwell Mechanic last week! Adam responded quickly and kept great communication throughout. He diagnosed and repaired my car on the same day, and even went the extra mile by dropping it off at my workplace. Excellent service! Highly recommend Speedwell to anyone looking for a reliable and professional mechanic!
I can't believe I was charged $75 for a light bulb replacement on my Holden Captiva! My regular mechanic charges only $25 for the same job. This is nothing short of a blatant rip-off! Itβs absolutely infuriating to be taken advantage of like this as a single mum! Donβt recommend!!!
I called on the day to book in for a WOF, and they were able to slot me in straight away. The service was quickβmuch faster than other places that had asked me to leave my car for the whole day. The woman at the front desk was lovely and explained clearly what work might be needed down the line. Having someone vibrant and welcoming handling the front-of-house makes a huge difference to the overall experienceβand in my experience, that kind of service isnβt common. Highly recommend this place and we have finally found somewhere that can manage our car stuff!

Chris did an amazing job tuning my turbo kit car. It now idles around town at 1500rpm yet goes mental when you boot it. Fantastic job. All staff are super friendly and efficient. Speedwell are highly recommended.
