“I came late and was still welcomed. The lady went out of her way to accommodate me and I had 2 lovely biscuits. Not oversized or over priced, just right and super delicious. Good coffee too.”
“Best coffee in town... Best selection of beans to take away. Ground to your prefence. Highly recommend a visit.”
“$9 combo for coffee and muffin. Great food and sevice.”
“View was great of the ocean. Our waitress was awesome and attentive. It was a great meal and well presented. Photos of the food speak for themselves.”
“RdC is always a pleasure but today the sandwiches were amazing!! Coffee good, sunshine great. Prices extremely good for cafés in town.”
“Love this cafe, great bakeries and had a satisfying flat white, and a nice taste of SO and their house blend. Thanks for the warm hospitality.”
“good coffee, good vibes, great service. been there twice now and will definitely go again while i'm in dunedin.”
“One of the best coffee places I’ve been to in terms of quality. The peanut butter was also great and so fun to talk to the workers and owner!”
“Had the original glaze croffle - pretty good, keen to try others if I'm ever back. Nice easy dessert to have if you're still hungry following dinner (this was the case for my wife and I).”
“Absolutely love this place. Have come for multiple breakfasts and a dinner. A simple gozleme (try the egg or harissa chicken!) is a cheap breakfast that's so delicious. Their bread is made by hand everyday. Good coffee as well! A medium dinner plate between two of one meat (beef cheeks!!) and four veggies/salads, with some fresh pita bread and hummus was enough and great value. Can't rate this place more. It's just the kinda place you wanna come back to again and again.”
“I thought I knew delicious pies until I went to Spelt Bakery. I got the Chicken, Chutney and Brie pie and it feels as if my eyes have been opened. Thank you Spelt, this was an honour.”
“exceptional cafe - great coffee and delicious interesting food. Was almost impossible to decide what to order because I wanted the whole menu… will just have to visit again!”
“I found they made authentic desserts and visited again with my partner. I was stunned once more! The sandwich was massive and full of fresh ingredients. The salami, parsleys, ham, cheese, baby spinaches and handmade bread! The best ever! I couldn't even finish it over there and fetched it for dinner as well. When it comes to dessert, I've tried cardamom roll, pan au chocola, brown butter cookie, mascapone chocolate tart. None of them disappointed me. Every single thing was authentic. You can see different range whenever you visit then you can't be sick of their menu. Especially, brown butter cookies, it's fabulous when you have it a bit cool. The butter flavour is flooring at every bite and half the cookie is chocolate. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again”
“Another nice place to hang out for gin lovers out there, right in the heart of Dunedin CBD. It has a cool ambiance and a variety of cocktails menu. Don't worry if you are not into gin, there are many other things you can choose to drink. The attendants are super friendly. If they are not busy, they will come around to talk to you. Highly recommended place to wind down on Friday evening.”
“We went here for dinner tonight and the food was amazing, we especially loved the eye fillet, fried chicken and pork pieces! The hazy beer I had on tap was really nice too and the dessert was fantastic. Great service also, the staff were really lovely. Overall was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Dunedin, will definitely be back!”
On the plate at ADJØ, the idea is coffee-and-cabinet and well executed. Cabinet bakes and slices round out the stop. A family‑friendly feel comes through naturally. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.
“Lovely place serves tasty food! Definitely will come back. I love all the decorations are so delicate and exquisite. Every things place together like a museum.”
“My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at EBB Dunedin. We loved the unique design of the building and the beautifully styled interiors — the room was thoughtfully furnished and very comfortable. The overall atmosphere is modern yet warm, and everything felt high quality and well considered. The service was welcoming and professional, making the stay even more pleasant. We had a very comfortable experience and would happily recommend EBB Dunedin.”
At Bowey's Pool Lounge & Bar, the menu stays simple, bistro-style, served with an easygoing pace. Portions are generous yet well judged. Music and pace keep a casual tone. Service stays present without fuss.
“Great coffee and delicious food. Best selection of cabinet food we have seen in awhile.”
The kitchen at Indigo Room takes a simple, bistro-style path and lets the food speak. Pricing lines up with the offer. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort. Team members keep things friendly and on task.

“The best coffee ever I have. Thanks a lot Staff very nice and kindly. The vibes so warmly and lovey.”
“What a terrific Saturday afternoon. The sun is shining and shining bright on my new favourite little cafe on the harbour. The service was truly impeccable and certainly was welcoming. My dear friends and I were served by a lovely young lady Janaiyah who suggested the perfect meal to satisfy my taste buds. I am truly grateful for an incredible experience that I will reflect on with joy.”
“Great coffee and slice. Good service. Could do with a bit of smile though. Staff look very serious lol. Very beautiful building. Great place for afternoon tea with friends.”
“Just stopped in and got a coffee! Best coffee I have had in Dunedin by far! Lovely warm nice little cafe. Very inviting. Loved it”
“We only stayed one night, were wishing we had booked for longer! Was a neat tidy unit, heater was on when we got there which was nice......we were late with our arrival and they couldn't have been more understanding. Rural location, really quiet, no light coming into room at night and pet friendly!! Cutest receptionist ever, thank you Mr Darcy. Would happily go back and recommend.”
“Coffee & Food --- both 10 out of 10. Coffee is not only delicious, it is also well presented(golden cream color & shape well drawn). I had toast sandwich today with up to 3 fillings only cost me $8! So delicious & great value for money. Let alone eating inside the most beautiful building of Dunedin so much like some of the arty buildings in lower Manhattan New York city. Love this place & will become my regular cafe now”
