“I feel that this cafe offers the best food in town with the most affordable price. Located in the busy Wall Street Mall, it's a convenient place to have your lunch or tea/coffee break from your shopping. They also have a selection of cabinet food and fresh salads, even fantastic sweet treats. The cafe also has a shop that sells gourmet food, drink and kitchenwares. We always enjoy having lunch here. It has a very clean ambiance and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My favourite food to have here is either fish and chips or beef pasties with salad. You don't normally need to wait long for your food and drink to arrive. It can be a bit noisy since it's very popular among locals. But it's still my favourite place for lunch if I am around Wall Street or Meridian Mall. It's highly recommended if you are in town shopping with friends and want to have a spot of tea or lunch.”

“Ordered egg benedict and matcha with oat milk, awesome taste and great value for money. Mushrooms were sauteed and fried in sweet sauce which was different than salty caramelized which I like more, but still over all great value and made to perfection by chef.”

The kitchen at Lake Waihola Cafe & Bar takes a classic fish-and-chips path and lets the food speak. Fish is cooked to a clean crunch and chips stay tidy. Sides support without crowding the star. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy.

The staff were clearly at the limit of how fast they can work, but despite this they were extremely professional, courteous and prompt with keeping the orders going. I was advised there would be a five minute wait, which was exactly the time that passed before I was served with my piping hot order, which was absolutely delicious and definitely hit the right spot!! Couldn't possibly ask for more. I note quite a few people have commented that it's not obvious where one orders from (!!!) - clue: it's probably on the side the till, the cabinet and the juice stand are! I guess you can't help everyone...”

I got the mac n cheese burrito with gherkins and a custard creme doughnut, my partner got the jalapeno cheese rolls and a biscoff cookie- all were so so tasty and affordable. If we lived in Dunedin, we would be here every lunch break. Plus free coffee (with orders over $10) Server is also so lovely, would highly recommend”
