In this restaurant I had turkish eggs and fires for breakfast. The eggs with yoghurt and roasted foccacia were excellent in taste. But the fries lacked flavor and the mayonnaise served with was not really good. Furthermore, I hadn't even finished eating when a staff member wanted to clear the table without asking me first. This should not happen.

About Us
On the plate at ADJØ, the idea is coffee-and-cabinet and well executed. Cabinet bakes and slices round out the stop. A family‑friendly feel comes through naturally. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Portions are generous yet well judged.

Lovely food. Great atmosphere. We stayed at the Euro motel down the road a bit and this was very conveniently located. We had the carrot cake and banana bread which were both exceptional. The coffee was lovely. Well worth a stop if you're looking for a good breakfast place in central Dunedin.

Absolutely wonderful! Come here every other week with uni friends and always have a great time. Matcha and coffee are a top pick for me in Dunedin. Plus the SCONES. The scones are one of the best I have tried and will forever dream of them.

Have visited ADJØ many times over several years and definitely think it is a good cafe! Has a good range of food options including a main menu, porridge menu and cabinet food. I love the porridge and the carrot cake with yogurt!! Personally I’m not a fan of the main menu. The drinks are yum too - especially the anisetta. The seating is not very comfortable, particularly for taller people. The staff are easy going and attentive. Definitely recommend a visit, especially to try the carrot cake!!

What a unique range of food and beverage! Truly one of a kind cafe, with the George Street upgrade complete this cafe really stands out with its view and placement. Coffee was excellent, was surprised by the tonic and espresso as well has spiced espresso.

So nice to see your new space with tables available! Tasty food, always a delight of flavours and extra nice touches for the cabinet food ordered. We come here every time we visit Dunedin.

First time I've had bad smørrebrød The staff was very nice and it was a cute place but as someone who has had Smørrebrød countless times in Denmark, this was a big disappointment. The remoulade was completely missing the typical savory and creamy taste and instead tasted like nothing. It was the exact same story with the meatballs. Danish meatballs usually explode in your mouth with aroma. These ones were tasteless. Further, 22$ for a tiny meal that won't satisfy nor fill you is, in my opinion, too expensive. If you're looking for authentic Smørrebrød, don't make my mistake

First...it's busy...what good place isn't? The attention to detail is obvious from the hot chocolate to the plate presentation and quality of the ingredients. This Cafe seats 34..it would be full if it seated 134.

Wow. Fantastic food and drinks. The smørrebrød tastes delicious, especially the self-made bread. The coffee and the self-made lemonade are also very good.

Their menu is delicious & distinctive. Such a joyous alternative from the traditional Cafe offerings. I loved all I tried and I got a great sample - from creamy hot chocolate, to haggis, stewed apples and meatballs. I got to try the sweet & the savoury and they were scrumptious. Rich, subtle, unique and utterly satisfying. The mix of textures and deceptively complex flavours across the meal and drink make it for a great experience too. Wonderful staff, great music, warm and chill. What a great find!
