“Willowbank Wildlife Reserve is absolutely amazing, a perfect mix of native, farm, and exotic animals. The kiwi enclosure was the highlight for me, peaceful, natural, and the closest I’ve ever been to seeing a kiwi up close! The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly care deeply about conservation. The grounds are clean and easy to walk through, with beautiful native bush and photo spots everywhere. Feeding the eels and lemurs was such a fun surprise. Great for all ages, and only a short drive from the city or airport. Definitely one of Christchurch’s must-visit attractions!”

“A stunning day on akaroa harbor. The boat was very comfortable the staff very welcoming. Great commentary on the area and lots of time to watch dolphins. We even got to head out of the harbor to scenery nook as the weather was perfect. Overall an incredible day.”

“We spent 2 days with Steve driving us (family of 4) around. Because of weather, one of the planned days had to be completely changed around. Steve was quick to plan a different event and handled it with ease and grace, and adjusted the price in our favor to meet the shorter day. He's personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and a great driver. He even walked with our kids down to the beach to look for rocks. 5 stars. Would recommend.”

“It's was a pleasure to work with Kim and the team. They made the start and finish to my brother's and my motorcycle vacation absolutely wonderful. They represented the country of New Zealand well. Although we have check this activity off the proverbial "Bucket-List", they have made us consider returning to expound on the great experience. The bikes were modern, stylish and high performance with the proper comfort for our ages (61+). If you're plan is to rent motorcycles in New Zealand, then South Pacific Motorcycle Tours is the only sensible path for the highest probability of success (I didn't mention that we are Mechanical Engineers). “What a fantastic space to carve your own pounamu and learn more about the culture and craft behind NZ jade:- by designing, sanding and polishing your own piece to wear or to gift! My partner and I booked a slot on a last minute basis on a rainy day and we had an excellent time hosted by Jan and Nevada, who guided us when needed to make our own tokis. Highly recommended activity to do in Franz Josef. Only feedback would be if the cuts of jade/stones available for choosing was a wee bit bigger or easier to find around the studio, but else it was a fantastic afternoon at Te Koha Also their beloved family dogs are so friendly too!”

“Loved heading there today on a drizzly day following a three day tramp at Island Hills Station. Great variety of pools of different temperatures, and although extremely busy, there was plenty of space for everyone. Pretty expensive entry prices, so have to go for a whole day if taking the family. Discounted entry price for AA members.”

“Absolutely amazing place to go for a trek, staff were amazing with helping me gain my confidence on the wonderful and amazing Courage. The scenery was amazing, the horses are all beautiful and I loved learning about each of their race careers. I loved going into the river on horse back. The whole things was one seriously amazing experience and I can not wait to come back. Also absolutely loved our trek leader talking with her while riding made me feel like it wasn't the first time back on a horse in over 8 years”

“The accommodation was fantastic! I stayed here for 2.5 months and it was a really good stay. The hostel is clean, the staff is nice and the prison theme is really cool. If you want a special hostel experience, this should be your choice in Christchurch.”

“We were part of a small group that wanted to go to the Waipara Wine growing area in Christchurch as we knew that some great wines came from the area. But of course a day out to try a few wines no one wants to drive. So from a recommendation - we used Waipara Wines Tours - simply put money so well spent. Friendly knowledgeable service, comfortable transport our driver was John and I sure his relationship with the range of wineries we went to helped making it value for money. Had a great lunch as well and I even managed to grab a couple of bottles of well priced wine along the way. I will use them again!! Thanks Team!!”

“Our family has taken adventure trips for the last 10 years and this trip to New Zealand was the most awesome trip our family has ever taken. This was the unanimous opinion of all 7 adult members of our family. Our 2yo granddaughter was also on the trip and Dee took care of any special arrangements for her. She even bought a hiking backpack for her parents to carry her in and now Dee and Steve have that one as something they can make available to others. NZ was amazing and Dee was equally amazing. She took care of all the details, both before and during the trip. We had numerous zoom meetings prior to traveling and Dee took the time to answer all of my questions and research any new ideas that surfaced. Once in New Zealand Dee kept in good touch with us. If an activity was going to be impacted by bad weather, she was on it immediately. She called us even before we had thought about what we should do differently. Whenever there was an option for an upgrade or a welcome gift, Dee made sure it happened. I will 100% use Luxury Adventures as our travel planners. I guess it's pretty obvious that I can't say enough positive things about Dee and the trip she planned. So much so that if you wanted to ask me any other questions I'm fine with Dee connecting us. NEW ZEALAND IS AMAZING!! Will definitely go back for an extended period when I retire.”

“I’ve just returned to Canada after an absolutely stupendous trip to the Kimberley region of Western Australia aboard the Heritage Adventurer. Everything from booking the trip to exiting the ship on our last day was first class and run like a well-oiled machine. The guides were informed, interesting, interested, enthusiastic, friendly, and made us guests feel like we were part of the ship family. Every day I wondered how they could top the daily activities, and the next day was another mind-blowing experience. The daily recaps were well-presented and always so interesting. We always knew what was coming up next - everything was very well organized. The camaraderie amongst the guides was obvious and that translated into a truly remarkable experience for me and the many other guests I met and befriended on board. The ship crew were always smiling and quickly learned our names and preferences. To a person, they were delightful and couldn’t have done more to ensure a fabulous experience for all. Great staff, lovely ship and absolutely amazing daily experiences. Wildlife, stunning landscapes, ancient art sites, and guides who explain in detail what we are seeing whether it’s insects, birds, rocks, whales, crocodiles, plants, fish and so much more. I came away with a much deeper appreciation for nature and how we humans are affected by and have an effect on nature. The cruise was ten days, but it felt like I had a month worth of experiences. I’d jump at the chance to explore any place with this company. I’m now hooked on the small ship cruise experience! Thank you Heritage Expeditions!”

“I only had limited time in Christchurch. Our scheduled day trip to Mt. Sunday (Edoras filming location) was canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Our driver, Cheryl, volunteered to take us the following day even though they hadn't planned to do a tour then. Our tour was amazing! Cheryl is a great and knowledgeable guide and the scenery is stunning. It was an incredible trip and I'm so thankful they worked to make it happen for us. I highly recommend this tour whether you're a fan of the Lord of the Rings or not! Thank you for an awesome trip!”
