Saw 4 or 5 brief glimpses of the dolphins, a good amount of seals too. Free tea and coffee on board is great. The only reason Iβm not giving 5 is that other passengers didnβt anticipate the roll of the pacific (????) and lost their lunch from the upper deck down to where we were standing on the lower. None made contact but the smell was awful and it was not cleaned for the duration of the trip, so the back of the boat was a no go, and the top had sick people (silly to be at the top), so the only safe places were the front and inside.

Thomas and Grace were great! We loved their dry senses of humor and how much information they shared. The dolphins had had negative interactions all morning, so no one was optimistic weβd get to swim with them on our trip, but they were determined! And in a Hail Mary right at the end, they had us get in the water to see if the dolphins would come if they saw us. And they did! It was very exciting. Weβre still waiting for the pictures Grace took to be emailed to us - I hope those come soon! Iβd like to see if they got better ones than what our friends on board got.

A stunning day on akaroa harbor. The boat was very comfortable the staff very welcoming. Great commentary on the area and lots of time to watch dolphins. We even got to head out of the harbor to scenery nook as the weather was perfect. Overall an incredible day.

We spent a fantastic day on a boat cruising the bay. The beautiful weather was our side, so we spent the entire day outdoors. This allowed us to see the rare Hector's dolphins, many seals, and a couple of penguins, as well as various birds, including an albatross. To top it all off, we encountered a mother dolphin and her calf: the boat captain told us it was the first sighting of its kind this season. A lovely way to end the trip, a wonderful experience. Kudos to the staff for their kindness, and to the captain for his expertise and skill in finding spots to encounter the animals, something difficult to achieve in the wild.

Excellent tour! Lucky to have a beautiful day. Guide Elijah was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Weβre lucky to get great viewing and swimming in with the little dolphins. Also got to see some seals! Will was the skipper in training for the day who was very professional about the safety and got us to great locations for the experience. Thomas the lead skipper was great in guiding him and also getting us to the best locations for an optimal experience. Pip at the front was also very delightful. All around they made the trip very enjoyable and unforgettable!

On holiday from Australia with partner staying with my daughter and her family in Darfield. We booked 4 adults, 1 child and an infant on the dolphin tour. We were able to see the dolphins, penguins, seals also pristine views of the land while on the tour which was all commentated by the knowledgeable skipper whom also detailed a lot of the history in that area too. Great family day out!!!

Professional company with much respect for the dolphins! We were informed before the tour that there was a 50/50 chance that we were able to swim because the morning tour was showing no interest from the dolphins. We could get a full refund or rebook, but preferred the cruise. It was very exciting to search for the dolphins and we were lucky to see two pots joining together. It looked that there was interest and we were allowed to get in the water. Unfortunately another boat came close and the scene was disturbed. We got a 50% refund and that was more than expected (or needed). Highly recommended

Went for Akaroa Nature Cruises and saw Hector Dolphins. The cruise started at 1:30 PM from the Main Wharf Akaroa. The boat was pretty full. It was a guided tour and there was commentary throughout the boat trip, which was really nice. We saw Hector Dolphins, jelly fishes, other fishes, seals and birds etc. Also saw the natural caves carved on the rocks. The time of the trip was 2 hours in total. The whole experience was Awesome!
