“The best coffee and coolest atmosphere. I have been drinking Vanessa's coffee for over a decade and I always have the best coffee every single time. Plus, amazing, friendly, genuine service, so clean and fresh food!”
“The scones are extremely good and come with a couple of slices of chilled butter. They have five flavours but I always get cheese and spinach. The coffee is pretty good also if you like it strong.”
“OMG the pies (made on premises) are amazing!! Tried the fish pie today and another hit!! They sure know how make delicious food the cabinet was fill of choices!! Well done we will be back!!”
“Had coffee and yummy gooey brownie at bench stools, while waiting for vehicle repair nearby. Returned to get lunch takeaway. Home made Bulgogi pies. Best pies we've EVER tasted. Will certainly be back for more. Lovely friendly service too. Have marked atmosphere highly as clean and local newspsper provided, but of course very basic as this is essentially a takeaway.”

“Real green tea, delicious latte and yummy sandwiches: haloumi and chicken bap. Very kind service. It was never too busy the whole time we were there. Several people stopped in for a takeaway chicken sandwich. That must be a local secret, I'll have to try it soon.”
“Really good place to host events. Great spot”

“This is an absolutely Mint gym. Don't let the small size put you off, they have great equipment, and space to use it. Mint have some cardio gear not seen in many places, like a ski erg, sailing grinding machine, as well as a great functional space, and stretching area. Great friendly staff who are keen to help, and the cafe does awesome tasty food for refuelling!”
“Great coffee and chocolate inside the tannery.”
“Good coffee and tasty treats, a breakfast menu, sweet and savoury pastries and special meals Saturday evenings. Vegan treat options that I’ve enjoyed include the raspberry slice, ginger slice, brownie ball and a delectable, apple-and-cinnamon scroll. The scrambled-tofu on toasted sourdough (choice of bread) was very good too, served with dukkah and tomatoes. I’ve also attended a three-course vegan dinner: delicious, leek-potato soup with croutons, lentil shepherd’s pie and sticky toffee pudding with coconut-milk ice cream. Now licensed for beer and wine, including both non-alcoholic and regular Budvar, a classic Czech beer. More seating upstairs. Pleasant service.”
“I just had my breakfast. Good service, good food and good environment. It took 15 minutes to serve me food that I ordered from the menu. My friends ordered from the cabinet that was served within 5 minutes. We were very happy with everything.”
“Went for lunch today at Raspberry Café. I’ve been to this place many times and have always loved their cakes — they’re my favourite! Today I found out the café is now under new ownership, which is great to see. The service was excellent, and I really appreciated that the new owner personally visited tables to check in with customers and get feedback — a wonderful touch. They have plenty of hospitality experience, and I’m excited to see some new items showing up on the menu soon.”
“Absolutely scrumptious breakfast! We’ve been touring the South Island for almost 2 weeks and this has been one of the most divine breakfasts we have had. Great prices too for the sizes.”
“First time here and OMG it's incredible. Had the eggs benedict with hash browns and hot salmon and it was the best I've had in a very long time. A decent amount of salmon compared to other places. The service was great. They took my order with a friendly manor and a service with a smile when delivering my meals. Lovely vibe in the space. Lots of seating and lovely open space.”
“We had a lovely breakfast, Emma service was fantastic she was very accommodating for us and our daughter. Makes a killer coffee and we loved the shrimp roll. Really lovely atmosphere. Would head there again.”
“My second time and I came back to order the same drink: their mocha is so good! Plenty of space to sit and relax”
“We loved the atmosphere at Child Sister - simple and charming. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. Our favorites were the kimchi rice omelette and the honey butter waffle fries. The coffee was good too. We’ll definitely be back.”
“Leeves cafe is the best kept secret in christchurch. The food is good , no the food is excellent. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is very pleasant . What more could you ask for. Well done to Leeves and the staff that run it so well.”
“Saturdays Cafe is a hidden gem! Tucked away by He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools, it's New Brighton's best kept secret! A matcha lovers dream. I had the Iced Strawberry Matcha and Matcha French Toast. Both had very good, strong matcha flavours in them. The French Toast had dollops of matcha cream cheese, chocolate, and caramel sauces, making it a very sweet treat. Yum! The cutest little cafe. Beautiful views of the New Brighton Pier. I absolutely love the decor. Staff were so lovely and provided a warm atmosphere.”
“The food here is incredible!! I had the tastiest cooked breakfast ever! The staff were so friendly and all smiling. The retro decor and general feel of the place is inviting and comfortable. Definitely recommend this little hideaway spot!”
