At Procope Coffee House, the menu stays coffee‑and‑cabinet with tidy execution. Desserts close the meal with familiar comfort. Eggs land on point and toast keeps its crunch. Wait times are contained even when busy. Morning service moves at a steady clip.
I have not been here since I left Christchurch. Coffee is good. The almond croissant was not as good as expected. Clean and cost reasonable.
Brunch on Sunday! Came in, the host wasn't overly welcoming, I had to ask if we could sit anywhere and pick up my own menu. We ordered coffee and drank that while we looked over the menu. The menu itself had a fantastic range and while I would usually choose something sweet both me and my hubby chose the big breakfast. Our meals came in a very reasonable time and they were WOW! Great quality sausages from Cashmere Cuisine, two different types of toast and without a word of a lie the best mushrooms I have tasted as well as the usual big breakfast fare (compliments to the chef). Overall, good coffee, great food and free parking up the side, which I wish we knew before we paid $5 on the street! We will come back, even just for a takeaway coffee.

I was looking for a place to have breakfast on my way to a conference and went past this cafe. It looked so cozy from the outside that I went in. I had the pancakes with berries and they looked and tasted delicious. It was just to die for and the coffee was amazing too. Highly recommend.
Great coffee. Good and hot unlike the other luke warm cups some cafes serve up. I had the sourdough crumpets which were very good, but I would have liked maybe a different spread choice. My husband had the porridge and loved it. The others at our table had scrambled eggs, etc made to their orders. Would definitely return.

Great intimate place. Good food fresh daily and with a good variety to choose from the display cabinet. Located on Victoria Street Procope is within walking distance of a large number of businesses and restaurants. The atmosphere is warm and busy as people take time out from their work or stop in for a coffee. Overall well priced and a nice place to have coffee. One last thing worth mentioning is there is an upstairs part too. Which is always good to know if downstairs has no tables available.
Probably the best coffee in CHCH, most likely the best sandwiches and definitely the friendliest staff! The upstairs sofa is a superb place for some afternoon work. Good wi-fi and decent prices, what more do you need?
Great coffee, fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. They were my 1st and last coffee on my trip to NZ. Wish it was 7490 miles closer!
