Gorgeous spot, outdoor seating with option for indoor seating. Upon arrival on a Monday afternoon the place was busy. First thing we were asked was if we had made a reservation, we had not however we were told we could sit at the end of a row of picnic tables that were not occupied the whole time we were there. The service was very good and can't be faulted. The food was bland and somewhat tasteless but presented well. Party of 5 ordering chicken filo and BLT. Nothing special about what we ordered which is a shame. The cakes inside looked amazing but we didn't try any. Iced Matcha and Iced Chai was also lacking in flavour and almost flavourless. I feel some attention to flavour with both the sauces used with the food and drinks would be beneficial. The Cafe is dog friendly but we didn't see a water bowl anywhere for thirsty pups. That would be a welcome inclusion. Party of 5 spend approx $200, 6x lunch and 5x drinks. I can say been there, tried that but wouldn't return for the food.

Been here twice now! The first time we had the chicken salad and a lovely raspberry cake. We got the same salad again today and it’s amazing! This time we also tried a blueberry sour cream cake, which was really good, but the raspberry/lemon cake wasn’t great today. I was also a bit disappointed with the coffee - I ordered a flat white, but it was really bitter and tasted off, like the machine might need a clean? Please consider improving the coffee ☕️ I can tell I’m not the only one who’s had a negative experience with it. That said, please keep up the great work with the salads! Love the atmosphere and the lovely staff.

Went for lunch today at Raspberry Café. I’ve been to this place many times and have always loved their cakes — they’re my favourite! Today I found out the café is now under new ownership, which is great to see. The service was excellent, and I really appreciated that the new owner personally visited tables to check in with customers and get feedback — a wonderful touch. They have plenty of hospitality experience, and I’m excited to see some new items showing up on the menu soon.

I was totally charmed the first time I came- had the most delicious raspberry cake served with whipped cream. Sadly I changed my mind after my second visit, 28$ for a portobello mushroom tart and a flat white is totally unreasonable!!! Coffee was also a fail this time. I was actually so pissed that I couldn’t enjoy the food. Won’t be coming back.

The door was broken when we were there. It took a while to get fixed, so we were sitting in cold meanwhile. I ordered BLT, which tasted pretty good. Only one thing is that the knife was blunt. It was really hard to cut off the bun. My friend was struggling with the steak sandwich for the same reason. I eventually gave up and ate with my hand directly.

I've been here a number of times over the past and honestly it is 1 of my favorite cafes around the Christchurch area. There is also a berry shop at the back where you can buy fresh/frozen berries and even berry ice cream. The Cafe has some of the best cakes, unlike others taste as good as they look. Yesterday I sat outside and the ambience and vibe of the place is really beautiful. The raspberry & white chocolate cheesecake is to die for (if you have a sweet tooth) and they do pretty good coffee.

Came for breakfast but our party was a little late unfortunately so settled on the lunch menu. The majority of the dishes were enjoyable but one of the meals had to go back for a second attempt. The selection of cakes etc was very impressive. The outdoor setting was lovely.
