“Traveled from South Auckland to bring our son here for his birthday based off the great reviews and his love for crepes. Specifically only came for that one dish, the crepes, and man they didn't disappoint! The crepes were flavorful! Very tasty! Price is reasonable I spose. Service was great, She always had a smile, kept water topped up, greeted and farewells us. Made us feel comfortable being Hori's in a boujee environment lol Atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Beautiful view. Going back to try the meals on the menu. Highly recommended the crepes!!”

“Such a fantastic building with tons of culture. A cozy theatre just big enough for the medium sized event. While awaiting the upcoming performance the theater itself gives so much to look at and admire. Parking building around the corner but tight streets, may suggest Uber to your event.”

“my son has been on Youth Theatre classes run by Tim Bray Productions. Its been absolutely great to see him growing confidence in speaking in front of others and being willing to share his ideas with others. He's been enjoying so much as it is also a lot of fun playing with friends together. it's a really great way to get kids involved with learning in social and individual ways.”

“Just watched the end of year show as my niece and nephew go to this dance school... Ive been to SOOOO many end of year dance shows for different nieces and friends kids over the years, and this was by FAR the BEST one Ive ever seen!! Amazing story telling, amazing dancers, amazing costumes and amazing organization!! I dont deal with this dance school personally but from what I witnessed tonight, they have to be one of the best dance schools!! Huge props to the owner, manager, dance teachers, other staff and even the older children who did so amazing!!! I was so impressed with the older kids!! The older kids not only maintained the story and their dancing, while directing all the younger/youngest dancers! BRAVO!! Editing to also say... This is also the only end of year dance show that I would've been happy to watch even if I didn't know any kids in tge show lol.”

“Went to the Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre last weekend to watch a musical play! It was easy to access!! Since the play was in the evening lots of parking were available at the back of the building and the seats were comfortable inside the theatre. It was quite spacious and could fit over 100 people!!”

“The staff here were very accommodating after I had mistakenly booked wheelchair tickets for the Commodores concert as someone who's not physically disabled. They switched up our seats with some empty seats and allowed me and my partner to still sit together. The centre is very nice and comfortable, and there is free water from the fountain.”

“Hawkins Theatre in Papakura is now open after refurbishment. Hawkins theatre is a great place to meet with friends and enjoy each others company while catching a movie, school performances, Dane competitions, events and awards, The Glow Show, or a fun time with Operatunity!! You can purchase ice-cream, coffee, biscuits, or wine at the bar. You can take them into the theatre with you also. If you are a senior and purchase your tickets online for the movies, currently they are only $10:00. Hawkins theatre is also a lovely place to take the grandchildren/mokopuna for the movies anytime. There is often a Ladies night, which costs $24 or $26 depending if you purchase in advance or at the door. Thus usually involves a chick flick(however some me do attend) a drink of any kind and an ice-cream. A great deal. Here are a few photos of the April program to pique your interest.”

“Last international act I saw was back in the 80s in the 'super top' with UB40. Boy things have changed. And for the better. Plenty of kiosks & free water. The arena's sound system is 1st class & its probably the way I would like to see acts from overseas.”

“Visited the theatre for the ballet of lights. The theatre seating is really comfortable and even has a mini table that folds up which is great to hold drinks and food. Parking is easy and there are snacks at the bar.”

“I watched Mission: Impossible yesterday at Event Cinemas in Westfield Newmarket, and I’m so glad I did! The experience was fantastic—such a stark contrast to my visit to Hoyts Sylvia Park the day before, which was extremely disappointing. Event Cinemas truly impressed me. The entire place, from the lobby to the theatre itself, was spotless and well-maintained. I was especially impressed that they have staff assigned to clean the cinema after each movie—something that really stood out in terms of care and attention to detail. The staff were also friendly, welcoming, and incredibly patient in answering all of my questions. Their warm attitude really made a difference. I was so pleased with the service that I didn’t hesitate to book tickets on the spot to return this weekend and watch Jurassic Park! Special thanks to the lovely lady who helped me at the counter with my ticket and drink purchase, and to the kind young man who assisted me after the movie when I booked my next visit. “Be there a few times for performance or seminars. It may look obsolete in terms of architecture/interior, but the acoustic effects are still stunning. My only complaint is the seats. It's reasonable comfortable. When it gets pushed straight, somewhere the metal parts make a very loud bang sound.”
