“Great golf course in summer at a reasonable price. Can get a little wet in winter, but still not as bad as some courses in Auckland. Challenging holes with some interesting OB carries. Plays like a mix between parkland and links.”

Avezha, I hope I am getting it right, was not only helpful but she was patient and actually helped me look for the items and options that went with what I wanted. Overall, she dealt with everything super respectfully and made my shopping experience so much better. This isn't the only time I have seen her super active in the role. Every time I have come in, she is super approachable and very helpful and kind. Just wanted to put this out there as an appreciation of her work ethic because this is the kind of approachability that people like me (super uncomfortable in crowds) need.”

“We liked being in the CBD. Walking distance to many attractions, the marinas, and of course restaurants. Spacious, and clean room. Something was up with the air con, but at this time of year really didn’t need it, but we reported the issue we observed as we were checking out.”

If you were a party of 5, upgrade to a bigger room! Gent on the desk was super helpful with transfer information! Would definitely stay again.”

The manager was really nice and kindly arranged a shuttle to the airport for just $10, based on my flight time, which was super convenient. I accidentally left my phone charger in the room but had to rush for my flight. After I returned to New Zealand, I contacted them and they were incredibly kind—they had kept my charger safe and returned it to me. Really appreciate their honesty and helpfulness. A great place to stay, especially if you’re flying out of the airport!”

“Really happy with our two night stay at the Surrey. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and fresh. Pool kept the kids happy. Food at the pub was delicious! We had a breakfast and a dinner meal, both times with 10 people and the food was hot fresh and delicious. It’s not a super fancy hotel but it was everything we needed for our little Auckland vacation - proximity to the zoo was super helpful too!”

“Rooms very nice and service was excellent. Our family of 5 were situated above reception and had a balcony - view of beach across the road. There were 3 rooms, separate bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable place to stay. Walking distance to town, approx. 10min walk.”

“Great location and nice motel. Some things could go with a freshen up. But overall good value for money. Only the bar chairs at the table are not suitable as to high and my legs would touch the table. Besides of that very lovely staff and all amenities provided in the room (towels, soap, shampoo, milk, coffee, tea & hot chocolate). Thanks.”
