“Quite large for an apartment, comparable to a small house. Good views and build quality - soundproof, high ceilings, double glazing, hardwood floor, good air ventilation, etc. Excellent location - close walking distance to mall, cinema, gym/pool and bus station (25mins to CBD via NX1/2). The layout is also quite sparse. So you have your own space and rarely run into people. We live on the top floor in one of the larger north facing units. Don't have any issues with noise, smells, or cold weather. During my 25 years living in 7 different houses across Auckland, this is the quietest and warmest home! I believe the negative reviews are based on the smaller (1 bed) units on lower floors as they're probably more susceptible to noise. Also, the south facing units get (a lot) less sun, so I'd expect them to be colder. Calling this the worst apartment in Auckland is inaccurate and disingenuous. We tried multiple apartments across Albany, Takapuna, and Newmarket; OKLA was strongly preferable.”

From the warm welcome from Shireen, the beautiful decor, the absolutely cleanest place we have stayed in, made our stay so comfortable. Nothing to complain about. “We greeted warmly by the hosts who gave us a tour of the spacious, clean, and tastefully appointed B & B. They showed us where things are in the kitchen but we’re always available if we needed them. We had a room with a private bath and doors opening out to the wrap around porch. The porch faced a beautiful park. The location is in a residential neighborhood but walking distance to restaurants and the Botanical Gardens. We will return!”

“I stayed here for one night before my international flight the next morning. The manager was really nice and kindly arranged a shuttle to the airport for just $10, based on my flight time, which was super convenient. I accidentally left my phone charger in the room but had to rush for my flight. After I returned to New Zealand, I contacted them and they were incredibly kind—they had kept my charger safe and returned it to me. Really appreciate their honesty and helpfulness. A great place to stay, especially if you’re flying out of the airport!”

“Stayed here in October 2017 Great little motor Lodge for your first night in New Zealand. We flew in to Auckland, arriving in the evening and needed a place to sleep for the night. Although the room was very old in style it was kept extremely clean and it looked like the shower had been recently updated. They also supply you with a small bottle of milk. The host was very helpful and showed us the room and when to park when we checked in.”
