   Booked a sea view room with balcony, was given a room in the back with the view of the neighbours. Had booked this accomocation for my boyfriends 30th for our first few days in New Zealand and ended up being in the back end of the house. The host was strict, it felt like we were living with a strict family member! Whenever we cam downstairs, the host would just appear, no matter the time day or night. Breakfast was provided and extra things like muffins and pancakes were made for us and left of the side. No privacy, and felt like we were walking on egg shells the entire time. Would not book again, would rather pay double what we paid to have a relaxed stay somewhere else. Unable to review on Booking.com even though that's where we were there 2 weeks ago. Upon refelction, we should have highlighted these things whilst there but was worried we would end up with no accomodation at all, and after 40 hours of traveling we didn't have the energy to fight. Spent most of our time away from the property. Do not book if you want a relaxing holiday!!!! As you can see from the images, I DID book through booking.com and we paid for a balcony room with sea view, and paid £230 which is NZ$529.60. So as well as trying to make us out to look like liars, they are lying themselves to avoid bad publicity.

   I’m extremely disappointed with this hotel. My booking was confirmed by email, yet when I arrived after a three-hour trip, I was told there were no rooms available and that my reservation had been cancelled without notice. The staff admitted they never check emails or the booking website, which is completely unprofessional. I strongly advise others to be cautious before booking here.

   I booked a room with a sea view and balcony however was given a room with neither. It also said I had a private bathroom but I was sharing with other occupants. Bed was clean and comfortable however will not recommend based on false advertisement.

   What a wonderful experience. This was our first experience in a B&B. From the warm welcome from Shireen, the beautiful decor, the absolutely cleanest place we have stayed in, made our stay so comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Will definately be staying there again. Thankyou Shireen for your hospitality.

   We had three wonderful days at Shareen's. we got delicious, fresh breakfast and all sorts of tips about the area. We have taken the house cat Alfie directly to our hearts. We recommend it unreservedly.
