For NZD170 per night, it is a major rip off. The room is dirty, dark….run down. Unwashed dishes in the sink. Junk everywhere in the corridor…..very badly maintained. Wi-Fi is limit to 10 GB(seriously….what year are we in???). I am not sure why anyone would stay there!
The room itself was designed lovely. Its ashame the cleaners didn’t do a good job. A few things ruined the one night stay such as baby cockroaches and large ones everywhere!! A fridge that didn’t work and wasn’t cleaned prior. Complimentary soaps were not refilled before we came into room aswell. Service from host could have been better. When calling her to inform her that fridge was not working, she asked me to unplug fridge and move it to another outlet and that someone will check on the problem “tomorrow”.. while were gone. But overall.. will not be coming back due to the cockroaches in the fridge, cupboards, kitchen floor, lounge wall, bathroom floors.. horrible

Stayed here in October 2017 Great little motor Lodge for your first night in New Zealand. We flew in to Auckland, arriving in the evening and needed a place to sleep for the night. Although the room was very old in style it was kept extremely clean and it looked like the shower had been recently updated. They also supply you with a small bottle of milk. The host was very helpful and showed us the room and when to park when we checked in.
Friendly staff. Place was clean but a bit old and tired. Near a noisey road and one window wouldn't close completely. Good enough for what we needed, served us well but could do with a bit of a refurb or refresh.
