Kamal, the owner, was very polite and helpful throughout the process, making sure everything was perfect. The prices are very reasonable, and they even added some extra free items to the order, which was such a thoughtful gesture. “Breakfast meals were good. It’s a busy eatery so no real interaction with service just go in and be seated. You do need to go to the counter and order they are too busy to take table orders so don’t sit at your table waiting which I noticed a family do. Enjoyed the omelette and mango lassi. The menu has a lot of variety showcasing their Fijian meals. Servings and price was reasonable. Will go back to try their mains. Definitely try them out.”

“Decided to take my lunch at this lovely place when I visited Davenport, and I think I made the right choice. The Salmon on the toast I had was lovely, but a bit pricey tho. The great thing is that they also have gluten free and dairy free options available for those who have dietary restrictions. The staffs and the owner (a guy with that lovely dog?) were also nice and friendly. It was a lovely afternoon surely.”

“Good quality Katsu served with rice, salad and miso soup. The Katsu was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The sauce as creamy and sweet, which did complement it well. The portion size was great and left full. Easy parking outside and plenty of seats around inside. Staff were friendly and the service was quick.”

“My photo doesn’t do it justice. The Fries were HEAVENLY. The service was immaculate. Every 10 mins someone would come up and check if we were doing well. The atmosphere is lively. A bit loud sometimes, however, they have some wonderful little booths that are Christmas themed at the moment. The decor right now is so cute. We will be coming back!”

Had the ban ban chicken, miso eggplant, cabbage salad, sautéed broccolini and mushrooms, pork and vegetable dumplings and the tonkotsu shoyu ramen and everything was delicious, especially the dumplings, the ramen broth and the miso eggplant. Very nice service and pretty restaurant with chilled atmosphere. Definitely a go to.”

“My favourite Malaysian restaurant in Auckland. We have tried so many different dishes from here across our various visits and they have always been delicious and also generous in portion sizes. My favourite dish here is the okra, eggplant and bean sambal but there are so many others too - the slow cooked pork belly with salted fish, butter floss fish, fried rice, honey soy chicken, the list goes on! The large tables upstairs are great for groups.”

“This is mine and my best friend’s absolute favourite restaurant. Not only is the food incredible (we have never had a bad meal), but the service is unmatched (especially Brad). We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been here, but by our third visit they already remembered our drink orders and that we want a chicken liver parfait while we decide what we order. Everybody is made to feel at home here and the service is amended to the person you are. Make sure you save room for a pavlova at the end as it’s the most delicious desert you will ever have in your life. CIBO CIBO CIBO”

They had multiple vegan pizza options, and multiple kebab/iskender options too! I got a vegan chicken kebab with vegan aioli, it was bloody lovely! The staff were very nice too, absolutely recommend!”

“Had the 8pc combo special, plus the rice bowl with fried chicken and pork belly — everything was super satisfying! The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the pork belly was tender with great flavour. Portion sizes were generous, especially for the price. Definitely a solid spot if you’re craving comfort food. Will be back for more!”

We were welcomed by the owner of the restaurant Ritesh and then we got help by the assistant manager Latika who suggested some mouthwatering dishes. “Highly recommended. Any new Indian restaurant I go to, I always ask for a hot butter chicken. This is how I benchmark. Sangram came in with one of the best butter chickens I have had in a long time! I always order a Peshwari Naan as well. Even though the Peshwari Naan was not on the menu, they made one for me! Impressed. The butter chicken and the naan were the highlight. What they can improve on….the mixed platter. It was a mixed review. The chicken tikka very tasty, samosa was ok and lamb was good. The onion bhaji was rock hard. Overall a $13 dish not a $26 dish. Come to Sangram for the butter chicken and a peshwari naan! You won’t be disappointed!”

“We've been here twice in the last month, and had a great meal each time. The new owners are really friendly and nice, and the bar has a nice coast atmoshere. On the Halloween night they had a dress up session with prizes, and Nelly was perfect as an Angel. The food is all great. I highly recommend the pizzas and the steak. Both are excellent. If I had to make one improvement suggestion, it would be to perhaps get a a wider range of craft beers. But generally this is a great place that I highly recommend.”

“A gem of a place, super delicious coffee and incredible cakes and pastries, we wanted to try everything and got a few different bits but the caramel, pear and walnut tart was a definite stand out.
