“It is a private high school optimized for college entrance. It offers one of the few IB courses in New Zealand, and the majority of students are of Asian descent. Accommodation is poor and facilities are poor, but student achievement levels are among the best in New Zealand. The school's curriculum focuses on IB and has a university-going and academic-oriented atmosphere. Graduate university outcomes are generally among the best in New Zealand, but due to the small number of students there are gaps between graduate groups each year. Graduates go to university in various places including New Zealand, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and all over the world. However, from the point of view of children studying abroad, I do not recommend it due to poor dormitories. However, there is no problem as long as one of the parents lives together.”

“Beautiful scenic farm with wide, clear view of the sunset across green fields. No loud roosters either! 2 boys of 7 and 9 loved it and did not want to leave. They fed and pettec the pigs, chickens, ponies and alpacas each morning. The 2 pigs were a big hit. 1 was as friendly as a dog. They also loved the trampoline.”

The venue manager was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, making sure everything ran smoothly. The event space was well-maintained and had great acoustics. “We had our sons 5th birthday party here. The facilities are very clean, you can sit and watch the kids easily. Lots to do, games, face painting, obviously the playground itself. The food was great in the café, as well as the party food we ordered. Would absolutely come back again.”

“My daughter graduated [ECE] from here and we liked every bit of it. She spent approx. 3 years here at Busy Bees, Alfriston (Formerly known as Choice Kids, Alfriston) and graduated in September 2023. All the teachers here are simply amazing and caring. They loved our daughter a lot and also took care of her like their own child. Teachers are well qualified, well spoken, and understanding. Center manager is also very humble and understanding at all times. We as parents feel so proud that our daughter successfully completed the first step in her education journey from Busy bees, Alfriston. I can see the growth and changes in her and I am very well versed with all the learnings she did here at the center. Thank you to all the lovely and talented teachers, center manager and administration at Busy Bees, Alfriston for taking care of our daughter so well. She will miss you for sure. They do not want to miss school even when not feeling well. Good Islamic teaching, my older girl is on Siparah 30 and she will finish Quran within 4 weeks and start hifzing.
