“If you are considering doing Ballet as an adult, this is honestly the place to do it! They have so many different options for classes and I was so happy to find a studio that has the option of structured syllabus-style learning. The teachers are wonderful and make sure they know their students well so they can help progress them in a way that is unique to each individual. The community is very friendly and welcoming too. One of my favourite parts about dancing here is the annual show! We actually get to perform on a stage in a theatre with costumes and everything! It's optional of course, and we spend months preparing. Any one from any level is able to participate in it and it's an incredible journey to be apart of, and it's a time when the whole community is able to get together and support each other as it's no easy task, but one that is very rewarding in my opinion. All in all, I often find myself counting down the days until my next class. Cannot recommend DFLA enough!”

“Rānui Kindergarten has been a second home for my daughter, Maiden. From the moment we stepped through the gates, I knew she was in the right place. The kaiako are warm, welcoming, and genuinely connected with each child — and I mean each. Most tamariki have one favourite teacher, but Maiden has built strong bonds with all of them, which speaks volumes about the love and manaakitanga in this space. Since starting at Rānui Kindy, she’s come out of her shell — her confidence, creativity and independence have all grown beautifully. I’ve seen her voice become stronger, her imagination flourish, and her pride in her culture deepen. The team do more than just “teach” — they uplift and nurture the whole child. Every day is filled with meaningful learning, fun exploration, and aroha. The outdoor area is stunning, the routines are calm and supportive, and the whānau feel is real. “Our son and daughter both love the staff and children at ROCC. The team create a fun nurturing safe environment for the kids to learn and explore. Love that the kids are encouraged to be active, use their imaginations and get messy. The staff and management team are extremely open, flexible and supportive. We often need to change days or increase or decrease due to our schedules and they team are always so accommodating.”

“We did an open diver course with Kiwi Scuba Divers. Alex and Jenni are amazing ! So patient and knowledgeable, we are so glad that we did the course with them. And in the shop, all staff are so friendly and helpful, giving us lots of great advice. Gear from the shop is great quality too!”

“My daughter started at KinderCare Constellation with very little English, and I was worried about how she would adjust. Howard, her Lead Teacher, has been incredibly responsible and caring. Kay has also been very responsible, always replying to my emails on time and in detail, which I greatly appreciate as a parent. After just three weeks, my daughter told me she likes Howard, and she has also made many new friends in the class. This gave us so much relief as parents, knowing she is both happy and supported. The staff’s patience, communication, and encouragement have really helped her feel comfortable. We also enjoy the daily updates and pictures, which keep us connected to her day. “Rohan taught my son guitar lessons an over a year ago, at his home and then online when we moved house. I was really impressed by how thorough and dedicated he was as a teacher. He’s a Christian and brings that same care and integrity into his teaching. He and his wife also put together a beautiful annual concert that gives each student, whether child or adult, a chance to showcase their skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. My son is now quite confident to play the guitar for us when we have family devotions and will be practicing for church! I highly recommend!”

“Our 2 year old daughter started here 3 months ago and we are absolutely thrilled with this centre. It’s a wonderful, big, happy and exciting environment for the kids while also being surprisingly calm, and the teachers are truly wonderful. They have all been so kind and caring and have really helped to ease the transition for our daughter who has been nervous about starting kindy. You can tell that they are all truly caring and wonderful teachers. The centre also has a great routine with the kids and is well managed and privately owned which I think is a big benefit. “After visiting many centres, including some way closer to home, I can fully vouch for New Shoots Greenhithe. Everything is welcoming there: the teachers, the staff and the space. It is open, peaceful, full of light and surrounded by nature. I felt very supported on the early weeks where everything was new. Now, after 6 months, I can confidently say that NSGH was the best decision we could have made. I am amazed to see how my daughter is thriving, learning new things everyday, having fun no matter the weather outside. I can feel in our daily interactions how much the teachers and other staff care for her and she also shows she loves to be there by happily talking about them all the time.
