The highlight for me is their three-flavor soup base—mushroom, mala, and tomato. The tomato soup is especially rich and flavorful, making it my top choice! The ingredients are fresh, with a good variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables to choose from. The dipping sauces are well-stocked, allowing you to customize flavors to your liking. Service can be slightly slow when the restaurant gets busy, but the staff are always attentive and doing their best to accommodate everyone. They are polite and willing to help with recommendations, refilling soups, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, a great place for authentic Chinese hotpot—definitely worth a visit if you love bold flavors and a cozy atmosphere!”

“Ok i firstly need to admit, I'm not easy to please these days, as i find many places just lack in quality service and overall taste and flavour. I'm happy to report this place is really nice. Wonderful friendly service and excellent quality food. We had the twice braised beef, lamb ribs, pan seared beans, chips, money bags and beef dumplings. All dishes were just as they should be. The lamb didn't look that nice but the first bite changed all that with a lovely flame grilled flavor. We'll definitely be back for more.”

“Got here just in time before they take last orders, specifically coming for the "couples" meal set, and it's huge! You'll definitely be leaving with a box after two big bowls of noodles and a massive mound of the sweet and sour chicken (or alternative option). Nice lady serving. Everything was great and well worth the extra little drive up to Browns Bay”

“We decided to try this place after asking some diners who were just leaving if they enjoyed there food. Nice clean premises with an eclectic decor. We were seated with menus & hot Jasmine tea. So hard to choose from the beautiful pics in the menu! We ordered two types of fried dumplings, a pork dish and a beef dish. Food came out fast, nice big portions and full of flavour! Absolutely delicious!! Thank you will return soon.”

“Firstly, these guys offer those super tasty Cantonese/Hong Kong flavours - not the less satisfying mainland Chinese flavours becoming more prevalent in the city. Even the free soup (see pics) was tastier than many paid soups found in other restaurants. We ordered the Dry Fried Round Beans (G1 on the menu at the time of ordering) which comes with that super tasty Cantonese pork sauce - it makes everything taste better! And a big serve of Soy Chicken BBQ noodle soup (N2 on the menu at the time of ordering) - you won’t leave hungry! Delicious Cantonese style Soy chicken & BBQ pork with egg noodles - and that sweet/umami combo Cantonese soups are famous for. Even the tea was special, with a balanced, light fragrance which comes from a touch of lemon - a house blend apparently. Thank you, we’ll definitely be back!”

“For a late lunch I tried the roast pork (not the usual bbq pork) wonton noodle soup. With 5 pork wontons and the roast pork it was a very filling lunch. The service was quick and friendly from the next generation of this family business. The matriarch still oversees the business with a friendly smile as you leave with a full stomach. It re-established itself in Epsom after the Mercury theatre food court closed for the new railway station. With easy access and parking close by, certainly be visiting more often now.”

Delicious food, very generous portions, A+ cleanliness and always a warm smile and friendly greeting. The home made wontons are the best in Auckland (in our opinion- we've tried plenty!) and homemade spring rolls are also excellent. Our favourite is the wholesome wonton soup. Nothing more comforting on a cold night- packed with wontons and veges. Divine food- made with love. Thank you! (Plenty of Vegetarian options available)”

“It was my first time visiting with my family, and we had such a great experience. The 小笼包 dumplings were delicious, and I also loved the 葱油拌面 noodles. It's a popular spot, so the line moves quickly, but the place is always clean and the staff is really friendly.”

“Second time in seven days trying this restaurant and I really wish I’d known about it sooner. So far I’ve tried the prawn chow mein, sweet and sour pork, black bean combination on rice, seasonal vegetables with garlic sauce and their wontons. Absolutely no complaints. I’m not even usually that big on Chinese takeaways but the service and amount of meat and vegetables is great, sauce is tasty, portion size is generous, service is outstanding. Wontons have crispy deep fried wrapper and actually have a good serve of meat in them!! Looking forward to my next meal with them to try some more dishes.”
