“My family really enjoyed going to Tasty Noodle for yummy and reasonably priced food. I absolutely love their Braised Beef Noodle Soup, especially because their noodles are hand-pulled. Not to mention, the service is quick and super friendly. Plus, the restaurant is always clean and parking is easy to find.”
“Cypress Restaurant is fantastic across the board! I absolutely love both their Yum Cha menu and their dinner menu. The food is consistently very tasty, the portions are generous, and I honestly can't complain about a single dish. This is a must-try spot.”
“Both the ganjajang and jjamppong were delicious. I ordered the large portions, and the servings were so big it was almost overwhelming. At first, I thought the place was closed because the lighting was so dim, but I realized it was open after taking a closer look. The staff were also very friendly. However, the atmosphere felt a bit gloomy, which made it seem like the staff were lacking energy, and I felt sorry about that. I hope you stay strong and continue serving your delicious food.”
“Basic math skills definitely need to be reevaluated due to disappointing service being short changed. One of my horrific experiences I asked for a $20 item plus a $1 can of drink and a lighter. I handed over $40 in cash (x2 $20 notes) and in change I was given back $10 note??? How does a $1 can of drink and 1 lighter cost $10? Very poor math skills. Especially with their ethnic background. Very dissatisfied.”
“It's been almost 3 years since we last dinned at XinFengMao. We are surprised with their added variety of dishes in their menu that are kids friendly, e.g. sizzling fried Japanese tofu and sauteed potato, green pepper and eggplant. But their most favourite dish was the BBQ lamb skewers, which was lightly seasoned with cumin seeds and very appetising. We will definitely bring our family and friends back again to experience this tasty Chinese street food culture!”
“I visited the restaurant on Chinese New Year's Eve and I have to say, the staff are doing an incredible job. Normally, on CNY Eve, most restaurants have 2 sessions at 5pm and 7pm with set menus and packed spaces. However, the food and cleanliness were still well managed. I will definitely be returning to this place.”
“Absolutely delicious pork tripe and chicken herbal soup! You can really taste the quality of both the ingredients and the Chinese herbs used. The portion is very generous and great value for money. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back again!”
“Great place to enjoy yumcha. It is located in Auckland CBD, huge variety of food to choose. Lovely staff, and very fair price. Their dimsum was made freshly, and the desserts were also great.”
“Went for yum cha. Relaxing and modern ambience, clean & tidy and not a chipped piece of crockery to be seen! Good tasty menu selection although a tad on the pricey side but what they do is done well. Tables are spaced well apart during Covid restrictions and dishes are ordered from your table with a check list. One of the better yum cha places in the Howick/Botany area.”
“Excellent authentic Chinese dishes cooked with Wok heat! Every dishes we ordered were delicious. We came for dinner but they were willing to serve us Dim sum dishes that we wanted. Highly recommended!”
“Amazing food, lovely owners, seafood spicy soup and chachangnoodle is a must try”
“Zheng Kee does the best Stewed Pork Dry Pot in Auckland that I've had so far. The pork is perfectly cooked and succulent, and the flavours are delicious. We also had their Octopus special which was delicious, however the portion was only average because the plate was so filled with chillies. The rest of the dishes are usually generous in though. Their rice is really tasty too. Their service is fast and the food comes out piping hot. We love this place for their authentic Chinese dishes.”
“This is some of the best Asian food I’ve ever eaten. We LOVE it here. Any of the mushroom dishes, butter prawns and mi goreng noodles is our go to. Don’t be put off if nobody’s here, I still don’t know why there’s not a queue down the street. Straight fire”
“I ordered $50 worth of fries from this takeaway for my birthday party last week. The portion was great—just enough for my friends to share. The fries were amazing: golden and crispy. What’s more, the front desk service was really attentive too. My friends all loved them.”
“Excellent Peking duck and amazing hot food dishes. The chef comes out to carve the duck at the table as part of a dinner and show. If you are in Panmure make sure to stop by and try it out!”
“I have to say, the food was amazing! I got the chicken wings, some Chinese food and even some fried ice cream. Everything was delicious and affordable. The staff was so friendly and helpful, making my visit even better. I definitely recommend this place for some tasty grub and great service!”
“I ordered fish and chips crispy chips Chips were still crunchy on outside fluffy inside even after 15min trip home fish was nice with good batter no soggy bits Hubby happy Will be back thank you”
“First time visiting Greedy Cat Kitchen! I absolutely loved their beef brisket with potato; the beef was super tender! They also have tasty cold dishes and affordable drinks. Though there's just one chef and it can get busy, the delicious food was totally worth the wait. Highly recommend; I'll bring my family here next time!”
“Enjoyed my first yumcha in New Zealand here and it’s worth coming back. We ate at 3PM so it was quiet but everything we ordered was superb, specially the siew mai, chee chong fun and BBQ pork pastry! Service was quick, no hassle.”
“I've visited this restaurant countless times and I can honestly say their food is consistently good. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Plus, the flavors are just amazing. The staff is always friendly, making the experience even better. Parking can be a bit tricky but there’s plenty of street parking available.”
“Delicious xiao long bao (soup dumplings), pan fried bao and we got the mustard and shredded pork noodles (bit like lightly pickled spinach). Order at the bar.”
King‘s Barbecue Restaurant leans into a simple, bistro‑style approach with tidy execution. Views add a quiet lift to the visit. The team keeps things friendly and organised. Portions are generous yet well judged.
“The chinese sweet and sour pork and chicken chow mein was excellent. Can't fault this at all, highly recommend.”
“Food is great and staff are friendly”
“Had a wonderful meal here at Joyful Chinese Restaurant. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, and the dining area is well kept and comfortable. The menu had a large range of choice and we found the food to be authentic and really tasty. In particular, our vegetable dishes were superb, perfectly cooked, not oily, nicely seasoned and beautifully presented. The restaurant has been going for 27 years. It was really great to talk with the owners, who are friendly and take great pride in their service to customers and the food they serve. I recommend the tasty food at Joyful Chinese Restaurant.”
“Had a $15 takeaway plastic box on the buffet type ting and after having a little bit of everything on the buffet type ting, I now wish I bought a $20 box instead. Everything on the buffet type ting was full of flavour and tasted very authentic. 10/10 would eat more of everything on the buffet type ting when I go here again”
“Good food and good service You have to order on a piece of paper before the food gets pushed out on a trolley to your table Didn’t take too long for food to arrive and they all tasted good Lots of people so try to come earlier or be prepared to wait a bit”
“Slightly expensive but food selection & quality is fantastic. Good service, always a lot of staff around. An ideal place for seafood and the large portions are good for big groups. Also a decent place for yum cha. Booking is recommended as it can get busy. Some dishes are excessively salty however.”
“Went there this evening, we haven’t been there for a long-time, but we were not disappointed, the food was plentiful and fresh and the service was good. It was well worth the price, we will definitely be going again.”
“One of my fave Chinese Restaurants. The manger has the best service. The food is delicious. Except some dishes’ portions a little bit small for the price. The price is a little expensive but definitely worth. Black Pepper Diced Beef with Pleurotus Erygnii and Yeung Chow Fried Rice are my favourite. Kimchi is their recent new dish. It has cabbage, apple, orange and ginger. Very refreshing as an appetiser. The interior is very nice too.”
