“WOW! I love this little gem, Baos are amazing, the Panda dumplings are some of the best dumplings i’ve ever had and always served with a smile!”
“We visited as a Playcentre trip. Michaela was really easy to communicate and plan with. Our children had a great time helping put mulch around the plants and planting some new plants. Michaela was realistic about how long the children’s attention would last and we moved inside to enjoy coffees and the children played in the play area.”
“Some of the best curry in the Hutt Valley, with a great spice range to choose from. We are very fortunate to live just down the road from Tummy Treat and are never disappointed with the quality of the food. They are also very kind to give freebies here and there. The naan bread is also always very nice. Would highly recommend to anyone. Great food and lovely people.”
“This little gem is hidden away but is well known for its Sri Lankan delights. They also serve the classic Kiwi brekkie and full meals with great coffee. Open on the weekends too which is an added bonus plus lots of parking available. Very friendly service as always and staff are happy to chat whenever we drop in.”
“Warm family welcome. Excellent afternoon tea. In-depth talk by the host about his life and work as a sheepfarmer. Great to meet brass and speed and see them in action. Finally the sheep shearing. Outstanding. A wonderful visit, highly recommended. Thank you”
“Espresso Rescue not only make the most delicious coffees, but they have a brilliant selection of teas too. There's even Trade Aid GF hot chocolates on offer. The coffee's even organic and fair trade! There's a selection of flavours shots too. If you've not been before you must!!! The team are delightfully friendly and they remember your coffee!”
“Hands down the best coffee I’ve had!”
“Always have a great meal from here. Lovely owners pleasant and helpful.”
“We call up and order chicken jalfrezi which isn’t on the menu but they still make it for us… absolutely delicious and perfect spicyness… we can smell it as we are walking through the subway. Mmm . Sometimes he will give us a free naan just for being regular customers. The best taste in Wellington. We can remember when they first opened. They now have a great reputation. Highly recommended. Mike and Winny.”
“First time here with my Family and what can I say, they were on point with service, food and drinks. Cost for 5 Adults and 1 child, exceptional and worth it. Took our own doggy bags aka containers for our left overs. Highly recommend this place.”
“The best food in wainui, and my personal favorite sushi place”
“Shout out to this company for supporting the community and those in need. We were out of donated coffee supplies at the Compassion Soup Kitchen and Anne-Lise came back to an enquiry of ours straight away and offered us a large amount of beans. Great community spirit!”
“The food here is better than all other kabab places I’ve tried. Customer service is great. I’ve been going every Fortnight for the last 5ish months and I haven’t been left hungry or unhappy”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Food & Great Value! We visited Lucky Dhabba in Petone with the family, and it’s honestly one of the best places to eat in Wellington and the Hutt. The curries were absolutely delicious, the prices very reasonable, and the service warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet — no regrets at all. We’ll definitely be back. Great job, Lucky Dhabba!”
“Always looking for places to have a healthy but tasty lunch, I found this beautiful café. I had a cauliflower salad with poached eggs, and it was amazing. And last but not least, the service was outstanding. I’ll come back for sure!!”
“Excellent food , Excellent customer service Really happy and me and my friend loved the food”
“First time trying Ara Sushi, it's the best sushi I've had in the Wellington area and has lots of tasty vegan options. Especially enjoyed the inari sushi with seaweed salad.”
“We were on holiday in Lower Hutt and dropped in for a coffee. Terrific service and taste. The Chai Latte is unequalled. I got a coffee box cup, perfect for my work van, easy to drink from. I wish you guys were in the Waikato. Top job.”
“Better Value for Money than anywhere else in Wellington, business has a great history.”
“the pani puri was absolutely amazing! Super fresh and full of flavour, definitely one of the best I've had in the area. The customer service was ok.”
“A superb park, well laid out with great planning. The planting attracts birds of all types including the rowdy Tui. Great water features. Plenty of spacious parking and electric car charging posts. Toilets suffer from vandals but usable”
“So cute and cosy move theatre❤️”
“Nice place to buy Sri Lankan products, food and ready to eat food. They also have cammed and boiled ready to eat food. And frozen ready to eat products. Rice, biscuits jams, pickles, cordials, sauces for a Sri Lankan taste. They have Sri Lankan sweetmeats during the April New year festival and Christmas & New year period. They have great roasted curry powder and other authentic spices. Great asian supermarket to buy snacks and groceries. They have ready to eat frozen Sri Lankan sweetmeats and breakfast and snack items. And natural fruit juices like wood apple and elephant house soft drinks. They have ready to eat chillies paste, brinjal, sambol, chutneys and pickles. They even have clay pots and religious items and statues. you can buy rice and grains and Sri Lankan spices like roasted curry powder. It's in the heart of the city with plenty of parking and close to the Mall.”
“Absolutely delish food! Had brunch & cake, so delicious! The eggs Bene was the best I’ve had in a long time! Dubai chocolate brownie was amazing! Service was great, friendly staff, cute spot! Quite loud inside, but would highly recommend!”
“This is such a charming little café. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We went to try their WOAP burger which was by far the best we had during the event. We'll definitely be going back.”
“Stumbled upon this gem while on a road trip in Welly. We had the bibimbap and pork yukgaejang - blown away by the generous amount of ingredients in the dishes and the rich flavours. Even with the lack of variety in their side dishes, the main dishes compensated for it as they were packed with ingredients. Will revisit if passing by!”
“The Hyderabadi dum biryani is a must try here. It feels very authentic and feels like from Hyderabad. The mutton haleem is very special here and one of the only places it is available in Wellington. All other Hyderabadi style curries are delicious. My wife liked it a lot as well.”
“Amazing atmosphere and real, authentic Indian cuisine. If you are a real fan of proper spicy food (and you can really handle the heat), mention "Indian hot" with your order. The staff were very polite and the owner came around a few times to ensure that we had everything we needed. Thank you for a slice of tasty spice wonderland in Wellington! Will be back for more when we visit NZ again.”
“A great restaurant, excellent food and great atmosphere. Remember to take your own alcohol as it’s a byo. Overall great value and would definitely visit again”
“Very generous portions, delicious, and top class service. Really nice experience. Plenty of space between tables too and very reasonable pricing.”
