⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Food & Great Value! We visited Lucky Dhabba in Petone with the family, and it’s honestly one of the best places to eat in Wellington and the Hutt. The curries were absolutely delicious, the prices very reasonable, and the service warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet β€” no regrets at all. We’ll definitely be back. Great job, Lucky Dhabba!

The Lucky Dhaba in Petone bursts with flavour, warmth, and energy β€” serving up authentic Indian dishes that taste like home! I tried the Chole Bhatura, and the Chole was absolutely delicious β€” rich in flavour yet not oily at all, while the Butter Chicken was creamy, tender, and perfectly seasoned β€” pure comfort food. The restaurant has plenty of space for everyone, making it perfect for families, friends, or big gatherings. The chef is amazing, clearly putting passion and care into every dish. The menu is huge, offering a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to suit every taste, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. The place is spotless and well-maintained, creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. With its friendly service, lively atmosphere, and mouthwatering food, The Lucky Dhaba is the kind of spot that makes you feel right at home β€” you arrive hungry, leave happy, and can’t wait to come back!

A great eatery that was a very pleasant surprise of delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. This is my new β€œgo-to” for Indian and all locked in to a humble establishment in Petone. Thank you to the attentive staff we had during our lunch.

We had a great meal sharing several dishes between two of us. Not expensive, good quality and flavour. We have had better in this city but not better at this price. My fave is Lamb saagwala which had a smooth spinach sauce. Dahi bhalla (chickpeas in tamarind and yoghurt) is my wife's fave. Service was fast and attentive, thanks. The only downside is that the restaurant space is not as impressive.

Great food at great value! Had dinner here with my Dad. It was quiet in the restaurant but there was a stream of delivery drivers collecting orders. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the paneer pakora. The chicken kastoori was also very tasty and well portioned. I will definitely be back soon!

This place has good reviews for a reason! Don’t be fooled by the simple tables and atmosphere, the food was the best I’ve had. Staff are friendly and kind. Onion bhaji not to be missed! All the curries we ordered were very tasty. If I lived in Wellington I would come here all the time!

The food was average when I tried this restaurant 1st time in 2022 but from last few months we have became regular customers here as it’s been a very good experience since I tried the food 2nd time. All paneer curries are delicious. Chole taste can be improved.

On entrance seemed pretty basic, I tried a few starters fish bites and tandoori chicken the starters came out a few minutes after ordering and they tasted amazing and were even better with the dips. I ordered a Kema Nann and mild butter chicken my companion ordered a hot lamb sag. OMG was the sag hot I could smell the Chilli in it. If you want amazing tasting Indian food at next level heat then eat here, even my Kema Nann was too hot for me. Prices are low to medium.

Lucky dhaba has quickly become our new favourite Indian restaurant in Lower Hutt. I don't usually write reviews, but I thought I should make an exception for this restaurant. It is an unassuming , small, no-frills kind of establishment with good honest Indian food that tastes amazing. This restaurant is one among a very rare breed of restaurants in Wellington that captures the authentic Dhaba taste ! Staff are friendly & polite, great location and above all, wonderful authentic north Indian (Dhaba style) food. It is not a fancy establishment. However, if you are looking for good north Indian food in Wellington, this is definitely worth many visits ! We have visited it thrice by now, and ordered different dishes every time, and have been impressed each time. Kudos to the Chef !
