   @gearstreetunion has impressed me several times and when I saw a @firsttable come up for Labour Day I grabbed it. We went for the 11.30am table, that's actually when they open. We weren't the first or only people there. I did read the menu several million times before going and knew I would be going for the Brisket Hashbrown Bowl. The bowl was a fab mix of meat and veg and I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of delicious brisket that you can't see in with the crispy hash browns. We did the classic over order, if there are 2 of you, you probably only need 1 side. We had mozzarella sticks and frickles. Both were good but not finished!

   First time here. Great vibes and great food! Definitely a place that supports our Wahine in sports because every screen was showing our women in rugby, cricket etc… awesome!!!! Tucked away in Petone but not hard to find. Our family enjoyed a nice meal.

   Went here for lunch last week. The brisket and potatoes were so good, and the eggs were poached perfectly - not an easy feat if you've eaten around other places! What made our experience 5 star, was our fabulous server - the lovely Chantelle. Lots of hospo peeps could learn alot from her. She was absolutely superb and Gear Street are lucky to have her working there. We will definitely be back!

   First time here with my Family and what can I say, they were on point with service, food and drinks. Cost for 5 Adults and 1 child, exceptional and worth it. Took our own doggy bags aka containers for our left overs. Highly recommend this place.

   This has been my go-to spot since the day they opened, and I’ve never once been disappointed. I’m a regular here for a reason the food is always amazing, and the service is just as incredible. Recently, I even hosted an event here, and I was so grateful for the management and team who supported me every step of the way. Their encouragement has me excited to host more in the future. I’ve recommended this place to so many of my friends and whānau, and they’ve all been just as impressed. Definitely my favourite spot!

   Good service. Warm friendly atmosphere. love the venue, heaps to look at. Keep going back... says it all. Food was great as always. Kyle had the doughnut burger which I think is there for Wellington on a Plate. Messy but he liked it.

   Good atmosphere, good service and good food. Went on a weekday so pretty quiet but the staff were super nice and food was really good. Had the fried chicken burger which was really nice and asked for the peas on the side and that was not a hassle. Also had a white flat which was really good as they roast their own beans.

   Wow, this was a really surprising first visit. Everything was perfect; well presented, cooked perfectly, great tasting, good portions, awesome music, great atmosphere, bright / clean premises and very friendly staff. Prices are up there, especially alcohol but when its as good as this, it is damned well worth it. Would definitely visit again.

   Great decor and ambience. The menu is loaded with possibilities but I think more for an evening bite than a brunch. We came in the early afternoon and I went for the intriguing crispy chicken hero (basically a chicken sandwich incorporating mashed potato, peas and gravy). Unfortunately the chicken was a bit on the dry side so really needed more of the gravy. And the coffee, though nicely presented, was too bitter for my liking. I will come back for an evening sitting though as the menu looks a bit more suited to being paired with a beer or two.
