“Great place, we stopped on our way through Wellington to play a game of pool and have a jug. Great prices and friendly staff highly recommend!”
“Excellent food and service - a place I would return to on next trip to NZ”
“The staff and chef were awesome. Lovely young team. Best dory and chips with delicious salad & vinaigrette. Simple food cooked perfectly. Price super reasonable. Thank you so much to the girl who served us (European accent) and the chef, who went out of his way.”
“Great spot, the refit has been done well, one of the better places to perch up in Central wellington. Anna the bar tender was great and some hilarious banter! Recommended”
“Had a great family event at Speight's Ale House Petone. Thank you Rory, Karen, bar staff and kitchen for making our evening run so smooth with great service and food was delicious - the Lamb Shanks were a hit! Great customer service our family felt so welcomed and special. We got to enjoy a fun evening just catching up while flow of meals, addtional requests and drinks were served in perfect timing and accommodating our kids meals was wonderful. Thanks again Justin and Speight's team for accommodating our group and organising a set menu. We had a great time, will be back again.”
“Kiana was AMAZING. She was such a legend. Needs a pay rise - made the best cosmo I’ve ever had in my life”
“I was invited and signed in by a friend and was pleasantly satisfied. Food was great.”
“Anyone who asks for the best Peking duck in Wellington, this is where you come! They have the best chef from Beijing and you get so much meat! You can choose "one way", 2 ways (Peking duck with noodle stir fry) or 3 ways (duck bone soup) basically just use the rest of the duck and not wasting them. We got the 3 ways and the soup is nice and refreshing, noodles we could live without but it's fine. Bonus is their cold dish mung bean noodles is the best I've ever had and love their stir fried eggplant with mince stuffing.”
“First visit to New Zealand 2024 fell in love with this bar...will be back early May 2025 can't wait!!!!”
“Stopped in for an ice latte, and Caet made one of the best I’ve had and I’ve traveled all over the word. He was very polite and welcoming all round a 5 star experience.”
“Great atmosphere and pretty good food too.”
“We were served by Ash who provided top notch 5 star service. She made sure our drink and meal orders were taken promptly and all served at the right time. The meals were great. Ash settled our bill at the end accurately to our satisfaction so we were very happy with our experience at Khandallah Trading company. The place is highly recommend.”
“Great stuff. I just think they need a rebrand or a redesign of their place.”
“Just got served by Jacob, absolutely amazing work, he actually gave me and my girlfriend a solid amount of fillings unlike some of the other times we’ve come. Much appreciated, hope he does well and gets a pay rise :))”
“Directly opposite Parliament, funny caricature statues, yummy food and nice staff.”
“Great American themed bar, with saddle seating at the bar and plenty of cowboy hats to go around! The decor throughout is great and in keeping with the theme and everywhere is clean. I was only visiting for a drink but the bar staff proactively pointed out the happy hour which was lovely. There’s a great atmosphere with the music and prices are reasonable too - one of the best bars on the street for me!”

“I had the immense pleasure of working with Kerirose planning my daughters 30th and I can honestly say she exceeded every expectation. From the very first meeting, her professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail was amazing. . Every element of the event — from the venue setup to the timing, décor, and guest experience — was flawlessly executed. Kerirose is a true gem in the world of event planning!”

“Quick and easy, lovely customer service, good prices and decent selection”
“The best crumbed fish I've ever had and best Souvlakis this side of Fitzroy”
“I have bought sushi there twice and it is the best sushi I have ever tasted in New Zealand. Subtle flavouring, immaculately presented, generous filings, unique and totally worth a visit. I regret living 20 kilometres away. Superb and I wouldn't bother writing a review unless it was absolutely deserved. Unassuming sushi queens end of. I'll be back at the soonest opportunity.”
“A really good playground for children with a lot of field space too. There is an accessible tennis court for all. Entrance to this area is down the concrete drive”
“Best New York-style bagels a former NY family has found in New Zealand, yet! Perfect texture and flavour; we missed that 'chew' (unlike the 'bread-like' density of other local bagels we've tried) and these guys provide it. A+++”
