Drinks are cheep, some of the staff are lovely, others.. not so much. The toilets always reek of urine and are usually pretty nasty but oh well. The bull is fun!
The bouncer Sam is super creepy and weird and is why I donβt come here anymoreβ¦ I have lot of friends who have similar experiences and have been made uncomfortable by him or other staff and yet he has been working there for years?? Management needs to investigate
Great American themed bar, with saddle seating at the bar and plenty of cowboy hats to go around! The decor throughout is great and in keeping with the theme and everywhere is clean. I was only visiting for a drink but the bar staff proactively pointed out the happy hour which was lovely. Thereβs a great atmosphere with the music and prices are reasonable too - one of the best bars on the street for me!
Personally one of my favorite Wellington bars! Bouncers are sweet and definitely feel safer having them around. I've only had problems once but let's be real, there's always going to be a problem at a bar. Super fun themed area and definitely recommend :)
happy hour which lead straight into musical bingo, and finished with a mechanical bull - definitely a pleasant evening for our group!
Emma was the best bingo master that I have ever seen!! She was so nice and engaging and super helpful guiding us on things we had missed. She is such an asset to the Dakota team and left such an amazing impression on me that I will be back with more friends for the the next musical bingo night! I'm a bit disappointed I lost the moo off but I will be back with a new strategy! See you then Emma! Also special shout out to the lovely young gentleman who kept making our gin and tonics! He had great customer service and an even better pour!
We were looking for a night cap, and lo&behold the music was pumping at Dakota so we went in. Cleverly named cocktails, I recommend the Dolly Parton (tastes like strawberry chuppa chups). Thereβs a mechanical bull you can ride if you ask the staff. They have late night eats too.
Came here for drinks and good laugh on the mechanical bull and had a great night! The bull doesnβt cost extra and is surrounded by a bouncy castle ring so pretty chill when you inevitably fall off!
Came here on a Thursday night. Not super crowded but they have mechanical bull! OMG, how much fun. Good selection of beers and spirits, with constant western music blasting. Great venue for a fun night out.
