    Johnsonville Memorial Park

    ★★★★☆ 4.4
    Open

“My grandchildren loves it here. Beautiful open corner park to play at, fresh air and sunshine on a good Welly day. The safety mats provides some safety assurance for those awkward landings or for the more adventurous. The park facilities maybe modest but it's enough to entertain the bored or tire that hypo child. And what are the odds, it's a few steps away from the Jville public kids pool.”

    Mungavin Hall

    ★★★★☆ 4.3
    Open

“The Main hall is huge! Plenty of tables and chairs. Excellent oven. Fridge was a good size to store food and drinks. Great bar area to set up kitchen stuff and prep food. You need to bring your own utensils, kitchen stuff and dish washing needs. There's no dish washer so it's best to use paper plates and cups as well as serving bowls that you can just chuck out. Thank god the Rubbish bags and bin were supplied. If you have 100 guests or under? It's best to hire the adjoining hall as the main hall is really huge. The Caretaker David was awesome to deal with, real good sort. You have to meet him at the hall to open as they don't give you keys, which is great..one less thing to worry about. Just make sure you have a sign saying private function on the entrance doors because it's on the main road and people walk in thinking there's housie or come to use the toilets lol but overall experience was excellent. Shops across the road and Chinese takeaway incase you need extras. Over all experience..Excellent!”

These fields are regularly used by local clubs, schools, and casual players, making it a hub for sports enthusiasts of all ages. The food was great, the party house was great, but the best part was how friendly the staff were- it was so busy and they were still able to make sure we had everything we needed and more! They were so caring and made it such a special and easy day for us. Highly recommend Chipmunks Lyall Bay, thank you guys I am so grateful for help in making my girls day so special!”

“Great location, the were able to accommodate all 30 of us, and the space worked really well for 13 kids in our group! Everyone enjoyed the food, my wife and I went for the schnitzel which was a decent size, and came paired with really nice coleslaw salad an sauce. I had the chance my son's fried chicken which was delicious! there was a lot going on for a Sunday, as they had salsa dancing and the music was LOUD! we didn't mind, but some in our group made a comment as they couldn't hear each other. I'd say it's a great place with very nice atmosphere, and they have great food and fantastic service, will definitely come again.”
