    The Nairnville recreation centre is run by the Wellington city Council. I had taken my daughter for Volleyball practice and got a chance to have a look. The gym is big enough for 4 volleyball courts. The walls had climbing frames on them. They had three instructors running the programme and all of them were very competent. The gym had a foyer and a desk of lost items. Outside there was a playing field where evening joggers use to do their laps around. The carpark was able to fit about 20 cars. Overall, the centre was seen to be clean and the staff members friendly.

    We recently attended a 6-year-old’s birthday party at Nairnville Recreation Centre, and I’ve got to say — it was a fantastic spot for a kids’ celebration! The place is well-maintained, spacious, and perfect for young children to run around and burn off energy. The indoor courts provided plenty of room for games, races, and free play, which kept the kids entertained for hours. There was a great selection of sports equipment available, so we didn’t have to worry about bringing much from home. Everything was clean and safe, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. There were also tables set up for food and cake, and it was easy to decorate the space to match the birthday theme. Parents could relax on the sidelines and still keep an eye on the kids without feeling cramped or chaotic. Parking was easy, and the location is convenient if you’re in or around the Wellington area. Overall, I’d highly recommend Nairnville Rec Centre for hosting kids’ parties or just for general play sessions. The kids had an absolute blast, and it was stress-free for us adults too — win-win! Definitely planning to come back for future events

    My friends baby Bernice & I, go to Baby Jam. We made new friends & enjoy our time there every Tuesday. Yayyyy Warm place & they have a lot of cool stuff for the babies. From small ball pits, toys, safety is well checked, swings n slides & more.

    Great community facility owned by Wellington city council, the people running it now have added afternoon programs for older kids and at really competitive prices, lots of other programs going on and school holiday activity’s-with a drinking fountain and bathrooms that are clean and well maintained. Easy to contact via phone or instant message .there is ramp access and a reception area inside the front door. Upstairs can be hired for birthday parties and has a small kitchen also.

    We come here for Jim Jam on a Saturday morning. It's good value for money and a fun way to spend the morning. Pitched perfectly for our 2 year old but plenty of space for our baby to kick around too. The apparatus is great - much bigger than you could fit at home. Bring your own snacks!
