“Wow the staff here are absolutely amazing! We came for the MLB game and had big screens with NFL as well. The wings were soooo great, the garlic bread was quite dry BUT had a chat with the chef who offered us replacements that were super great (chips and GF garlic bread). Made our entire experience so great. The bartender Gabe also was so amazing and made us feel very welcomed and at home.”

He's added so many features (doggy biscuits and beers, kids play area, lots of board games, weekly food trucks, weekly quizzes) that have made it not only a family friendly, local pub, but also a destination. Offering some amazing beers, wonderful staff will take you into their care and ensure you can kick back and relax. Dog friendly, kid friendly, social team friendly, it really does offer do much! (KCB) K-Chicken Bistro Miramar

    ★★★★☆ 4.5

“Very tasty Korean Fried Chicken in Wellington. We ordered the original crispy chicken meal and the The Big Burger with volcano chicken. The crispy chicken is real crisp and super juicy. Love the spice level of the Volcano too. Well worth the trip for us as we came from Porirua seeking for a yummy korean fried chicken and they didn't disappoint. The burger is really good but a bit tricky to eat so can get a bit messy. The meal/combos are a good alternative for a single diner. Good portion size and their chips are real good as well.”

“Absolutely loved our visit here! I was down from Palmy visiting my son and he took me here for lunch. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door — such friendly, genuine service. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel right at home. A special shout out to Piney who served us. She was the most beautiful, friendly and bubbly young lady. A real credit to Caffiend Cafe. The food was delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully served. You can tell there’s real care behind everything they do. A real gem. Can’t wait to come back!”

“Crumpet is such a nice place for having a drink and small talks or deep conversations. The vibe of this place is so good and relaxing, especially with the candle on the table. However, when the shop is full of people, it is getting a little busy and noisy, but it still provides good vibes. For the crew at Crumpet, they are very knowledgeable in making the drink. We ordered a drink based on our own taste, and they made it so good! Overall, Crumpet is recommended!”

“This bar is a hidden gem, capable of bringing out the pirate in anyone! The thrill of discovering this place was truly rewarding. The atmosphere and decor are remarkable, with artificial skulls on the wall showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Every corner offers unique seating options and ambiance, making the experience truly special. The staff is delightful and enjoyable to chat with. The "Skull Punch" drink, served with a spectacular fiery show, is a definite recommendation for the thrilling experience it provides. Exploring the various rum-based cocktails was a fun adventure. Surprisingly, the place wasn't overly busy for a Friday night, adding to the overall positive experience.”

“We dropped in for a quick takeaway and as usual it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. As we waited for our takeaways, a lovely staff handed us a glass of water which is an awesome gesture. We have dined in several times and we never had any negative feedback to provide. Lots on the menu to choose as well as your usual pastries and sweet desserts. Our favourite is the seafood casserole! Very rich and if given the chance, I would lick the bowl! Parking can be tricky as there are only a few on the street and several others by the side. Best to book if you do visit on the weekend or just wait as the turnover is pretty quick.”
