   Unfortunately went here as was wanting a matcha whilst sitting at the beach. Had done some searching and Onepu instagram had come up with vibrant green real looking matcha. What I got when ordering a strawberry matcha resembled nothing like on the instagram, and taste of just milk. Disappointed I went back in and asked if it could be remade and I thought maybe there had been a mistake made as it had been ordered during a rush of people. Unfortunately the second drink was only a fraction better. Would not recommend for matcha drinks. (Slice my partner got looked nice though.)

   OMG so good. The smell of freshly baked cakes floating out the door. And oh so yum. So lovely sitting in the window watching the surf and sipping good coffee and listening to great music. What’s not to love. Seriously good and friendly people too. My go to now !!

   Friendly staff that give great service, make good coffee, it’s great cafe that have good range of vegan options and GF as well which is great for us vegetarian people. The prices here are very fair.

   We finally made it down after years of anticipation. It was a bit of a windy, drizzly day, so it's unfortunate that we had to take or order away. But such is life at the moment. This would be full stars of we could sit at the window, though. The kid's toastie is great value and well prepared. I was equally impressed with the pinwheel that I had, possibly moreso. There was a hint of sweetness that was unexpected and pleasant that makes me want to reverse engineer the recipe.

   Ended up at Lyall Bay late on a Sunday. Tried for dinner at at the Botanist - but it was all booked out. A good sign. We were hungry though so headed across the road to the cute little Onepu. Glad we did. Grace, the lovely girl behind the counter was fantastic as was the girl who cooked. . We enjoyed some toasties and a milkshake and were lucky enough to have a little taste of the mango - passionfruit Ice cream. Beautiful. The only complaint was the coffee machine was closed. I'd definitely keep that open until closing as another family came in asking for some while we were there. A sweet little spot. Will be back for a full ice cream before we leave Wellington.
