“When they say "Personalised," they mean it! We had an absolutely amazing day with Capital Personalised Tours! We chose "Private Martinborough Wine Full Day Tour From Wellington" because our family loves wine, but also because, although we love the Lord of the Rings, my mother has some mobility challenges that can make set tours difficult. However, after our driver, Andrew, met us at the cruise port and learned of our love of all things Tolkien, in addition to the wonderful wine tastings and lunch, he surprised us by taking us to some of the different movie set sights that mom could navigate. He stopped by the Helm's Deep quarry, the Isengard gardens, and we even walked through "Rivendell!" Lunch at Poppies was absolutely AMAZING and we had a wonderful time tasting and exploring the wines of New Zealand. (I'm now a fan of Chardonnay, which I never thought possible.) I just want to say that I can't thank Andrew and John enough for the wonderful experience they provided! We got to see and do things that simply wouldn't be possible with any other tour!”
“Organised a group of friends to go on a North Canterbury wine tour with Cheeky Kea. Fantastic to work with and sorted all the details! Cheeky Kea also handled the transport to and from our wedding venue which was so easy and great for our wedding guests! Big thanks to Jesse and the team.”
“We had a really nice tour on the Ortago Loop including the Port to Port Ferry with Rachel. During the tour we got an explanation of things we passed by and their history. I had some problems booking online, and also made a mistake with the date, but Rachel fixed everything for us and including renting of bikes.”
“Absolutely LOVED our guided tour with Phil on the Supertrike! Was epic, the bike is a beast and Phil is a fantastic and funny tour guide with really interesting info on the region! Recommend it! A+++”
“This review is long overdue! I took this tour in 2016 with a friend of mine. It was just me, her, and Phil, and he gave us a personalized tour that was thorough and comprehensive. We had so much fun and Phil was so knowledgeable, and took us to a place with amazing food (see pic below). I have no idea when I will get back to New Zealand l, but when I do, I will 100% be seeking Phil out again!”
“We had an amazing experience with India Tours. We loved everything about our tour. Hotels were exceptional. We especially loved staying at the Farmhouse. Food was delicious. India was everything I thought it would be and more. People were very friendly. Our tour was well organized and a great time.”

“At the end of 2023 I decided to challenge myself to run the London Marathon in 2024. I went through marathon tours as I had heard good things and I liked the fact that I would get to meet likeminded people as part of this experience as this was my first marathon. The tour group was amazing, I felt so supported and was so grateful to Paul and Matt and the other members of the tour who gave me advice and who celebrated with me when I finished. Some of us have gone on to remain friends after the tour and are already talking about our next adventure. On the day of the marathon it was great to be able to go together in a bus to get start line and even though we had to wait in the cold I was happy to be at the start line in plenty of time and not to have to worry about getting there on the tube. The location of the hotel was great for being central to so many things you want to do but also so grateful for how close it was to the finish line. I have never been so happy to see my hotel room as I was that day. The breakfasts were a great way to start the day and to also catch up with the others as to their plans or get advice. The marathon itself is an experience I will never forget, having so many strangers cheer you on and give advice and generally want you to do well is quite hard to explain and not just at the end but through the whole 42.2kms. Getting to run through the streets of London and over Tower Bridge was a surreal experience and one I will never forget. I am not going to lie running the marathon was hard physically and mentally and I hit the wall a few times but looking around at the other competitors and seeing the support they had and my own determination was enough to get me to the finish line. I loved being in London and being so central to everything meant I got to experience all my favourite parts - Buckingham Palace, Harrods, London Eye, Hyde Park and St James Park. The support that the marathon tours team gave me both leading up to the event and after was amazing. Knowing that they were only an email or call away was great. I am already planning on doing New York in 2025 and am planning on booking through Marathon Tours. Thank you for the experience, the memories and the friendships . April 2024 has gone down in my history as one of my most memorable moments and it was because of marathon tours that I was able to do this. Vanessa”
“We were part of a small group that wanted to go to the Waipara Wine growing area in Christchurch as we knew that some great wines came from the area. But of course a day out to try a few wines no one wants to drive. So from a recommendation - we used Waipara Wines Tours - simply put money so well spent. Friendly knowledgeable service, comfortable transport our driver was John and I sure his relationship with the range of wineries we went to helped making it value for money. Had a great lunch as well and I even managed to grab a couple of bottles of well priced wine along the way. I will use them again!! Thanks Team!!”
“Great service. We are based in Raglan and use them all the time to pick up friends and guests from Auckland airport, because otherwise its a 4 hour round trip for us. They are super friendly and accommodating, couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommend.”
“Had the opportunity to do the TranzAlpine tour (Christchurch/train to AP/Christchurch) with this great company. Helpful email communication throughout the booking. AJ was fabulous! Great driver, good knowledge of the area, courteous, helpful and thoughtful. Just the right amount of chatting so that you could also absorb and enjoy the view. Loved the snacks as well. Would travel with them again in a heart beat!”
“We did this tour while visiting on the Celebrity Edge. An amazing day out, Mateo (the owner/operator) is very knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. I learnt a lot about New Zealand and Dunedin. An unusual payment system, you pay the booking fee ($7.50 pp), then at the end of the tour you pay Mateo what you think the tour is worth. An amazing day out!”
“I can thoroughly recommend Bay Tours for your chartered bus needs. They are professional, efficient and competitive with quotes. Bay Tours have awesome bus drivers who are extremely helpful and professional.”
“I had a very short stay in Auckland and only a few hours to spare. I wanted to see as much as I could and this tour was perfect. Josh took us around the city and outside, including Mount Eden, the marina, St Heliers Bay, Botanical Gardens and others. A great tour, excellent value for money and this guy knows his city! Delighted, I would never have had time to get to see and find out so much. Thoroughly recommended.”
“Jose was our driver and she made the tour. Her passion for New Zealand was contagious. We went to the Wintergardens & her knowledge of the flora was impressive. Then we went to sheep land. We watched a demonstration of the herding dogs & how they work together to corral the sheep to get separated & sheered After we feed the lambs & hand feed the other animals on site we took a seat in their cafe where I had a delicious caramel oat bar & the best New Zealand latte. Off to the honey shack to try different types of honey & shopped at the gift store I highly recommend this tour for different aspects of Auckland area”
“This tour was excellent. Ross was an amazing guide with a lot of information to share. We visited 4 totally different wineries and totally enjoyed the experiences and wine. I strongly recommend visitors to Napier take this tour. Ross has been in the area for a long time and is very knowledgeable about the are and particularly the local wines and wineries.”
“Absolutely the best tour! Our guide stopped for special shots with nature and wildlife that his keen eye saw, but we did not. Comfortable ride. Great commentary with lots of relevant history and info. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“I did the Indochina 28 day tour in November. We spent 2 weeks in Vietnam, a week in Laos and a week in Cambodia. It is the 17th organised tour I have done, and it was the best one. The 3 guides that we had were brilliant. The scenery was spectacular, the people were lovely and the food amazing. I would thoroughly recommend Wendy Wu Tours ☺️”
“Re: Wai O Tapu Geothermal Wonderland Combo Tour A big thanks to Zealander Tours and our guide Stephen for providing such a great value-packed experience. We made the most of our time and covered a lot of ground during our cruise port visit.”
“Loved our experience with John! I definitely learned a lot about Napier and wine in Hawke’s Bay. Highly recommend for whoever is considering doing tours around Napier!”
“Highly recommended... You hardly come across any travel agents who apart from making your travel arrangements, really do care... these are the guys to get in touch with to provide you travel solutions with excellent service. Thanks heaps for your service and assistance”
“Very good customer service highly recommended .”
“Highly recommended! You must definitely experience one of the activities offered by Mana! Tours were just great and staff were extremely helpful! Prices were quite fair too. When I come back to New Zealand, I will surely repeat the experience.”
“I only had limited time in Christchurch. Our scheduled day trip to Mt. Sunday (Edoras filming location) was canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Our driver, Cheryl, volunteered to take us the following day even though they hadn't planned to do a tour then. Our tour was amazing! Cheryl is a great and knowledgeable guide and the scenery is stunning. It was an incredible trip and I'm so thankful they worked to make it happen for us. I highly recommend this tour whether you're a fan of the Lord of the Rings or not! Thank you for an awesome trip!”
“Caitlin was a life saver, my mom and I was looking forward to the Tranzalpine train tour we booked. It was cancelled a few days prior due to lack of min req people, but I didn’t see it because I was travelling. The day before the supposed event, I panicked and called the hotline and Caitlin, during her after hours, kindly helped me to arrange for another day. Thank you!”
“We’ve been booking our flight tickets regularly in this Travel Agency. Good assistance, fast and affordable prices. Thanks heaps to Ms. Ann Parcon for helping us! Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Have done a couple of their cycle tours now. Looking forward to booking the next one. Highly recommend. If you are booking a tour then get over yourself and book an ebike. You will get to see and do so much more”
“If you're a fan of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, then this tour is for you.”
“Gesa was absolutely incredible. She is so charming and knowledgeable. I can’t imagine a better guide. Please book her as soon as you can because she is terrific.”
“We used Shore Trips and Tours to book 3 tours - 1 in Dunedin, 1 in Akaroa, and 1 in Tauranga (with an actual ST&T employee). We had no issues with an of our tours, instructions and contact info was clear and we had good communication with them in the months leading up to these tours. The tour that was actually through them was for Rotorua and Hobbiton in Tauranga and was great! Our guide (Mark?) Gave us some info as we went from place to place, made sure we stayed fed and on time, and got us back to our ship with time to spare! Will use to book tours again if we are in NZ again!”
