   We booked a Waiheke wine tour with Phil. The package included the ferry to Waiheke, Phil driving us around Waiheke, lunch, wine tastings, and lots of wonderful information. We visited 3 great wineries and had a fantastic lunch at Mudbrick. Phil’s knowledge and enthusiasm for wine made this a really wonderful day. He also made time for some shopping so I could look for a wool sweater (and yes I found one!). We thoroughly recommend Phil as your tour guide as he's very professional and personable. If we are back in Auckland we’d sign up for another tour! Thanks Phil for a great experience that we are still talking about 2 months later. :)

   We had two great tours with Phil - the Kumeu lunch and wine and Waiheke Island VIP. We discovered two areas and tasted great wines - Kumeu River and Mudbrick on Waiheke Island were real highlights. Mudbrick has a superb restaurant as well. On both tours Phil was excellent company and his knowledge of wine provided real depth to the experience. We recommend a tour with Phil as an unmissable experience.

   My partner surprised me with a wine tour in Auckland. He chose Phil from Fine Wine & Food Tours based on his previous reviews, and we agree! It started off with a personal pickup from our hotel, along with a printed itinerary for the day that included helpful and informative notes. A bio on Phil and many, many facts about Auckland and New Zealand made the journey to the wineries fun and interesting! Phil is a welcome favourite at the wineries he took us to; we were treated like part of the family! Phil also brought along a personally curated selection of local cheeses to taste with specific wines. Once the tour was over, Phil went out of his way to show us part of the local scenery. We highly recommend using Phil for your wine and food tour experience!

   We had booked a private wine tour for 2 and the wineries with lunch developed by Phil were all outstanding. Even though our ship was delayed in docking resulting in a 30 minute delay, Phil was able to adjust our schedule to make sure we were able to visit each winery proposed. We would highly recommend a tour with Phil when visiting Auckland.”

   This review is long overdue! I took this tour in 2016 with a friend of mine. It was just me, her, and Phil, and he gave us a personalized tour that was thorough and comprehensive. We had so much fun and Phil was so knowledgeable, and took us to a place with amazing food (see pic below). I have no idea when I will get back to New Zealand l, but when I do, I will 100% be seeking Phil out again!

   My husband organised a surprise tour with Phil for our wedding anniversary. We had an incredible day!! Phil was an outstanding guide. He was informative and knowledgeable regarding the wine we tasted. We met lovely owners of the vineyards. Tony and Sue at Soljans winery gave us a personalised experience and gave the history of their family owned and operated business now heading into 5 generations. Lunch was delicious and we scooped 12 bottles of wine later and some great bargains. We will definitely do a tour again with Phil. We now have some ideas of where we might renew our vows next year :)
