“A surprise find in Jackson st Petone. A really nice well laid out restaurant, friendly helpful staff and a great range of Thai food available. The servings were a generous size and very tasty. My wife is a Thai chef and she was impressed. The priceing is resonable with our two main meals and a drink costing $45. Happy to recommend Smile Elephant and will be visiting again when we head to Welly. We went back and I got the spare ribs and chips, my wife curried chicken noodle bowl. ❣️”

“We walked in off the street with our 2 mokos. There was no hesitation about giving us the last table. The restaurant was so very busy but there was a very relaxed feel, despite their busyness. The attendents were friendly and engaging. There was an apology for the length of wait time but no apology was needed, the food was delicious, your service tops and the atmosphere was perfect. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves which was bliss. We were able to enjoy their amazing dishes as though we had booked the place just for us (couldve been everyone was glued to the Wahs game) as I have definately seen it a lot busier usually. Faultless service and beautiful decor. Perfect atomsphere for a rare date night. The food was incredible as always, super fresh, perfect amount of spice and large portions meant we were able to take the leftovers home to enjoy further. Super accomdating of a severe food allergy. As much as we would love to keep this place secret just for us, they definately earnt a 5 star review!
