The kitchen at Andersons Bay Thai takes a Thai-inspired path and lets the food speak. Curries carry clear spice and warmth. Portions are generous yet well judged. Service stays present without fuss. Orders move at a steady clip.
The starters were alright. The main dishes were not what we were expecting. The flavours were underwhelming and the pork was a bit tough. It was also not hot, it was more on the warm side. Iām not sure I will go back and spend $205 lucky first table app gave me $56 off our meal. And then drinks 2 of them came out with Ice and 2 with out ā¦.
Really enjoying having Andersons Bay Thai as our local. It's great for dining in or for take out. Great food, very authentic and awesome favours.
Delicious. A bit more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for, and it doesn't taste like it's made from a packet (also free entree; we got it last two times and not sure how). Nice clean interior and food arrived fast despite busy.
Excellent service, staff very friendly. The food arrived fast. I ordered a Tom Kha Soup with prawns and was very delicious, good portion. We also got free spring rolls, super tasty. Recommend 100%, coming back for sure
We went on a Sunday evening. We got pad Thai prawn and tom yum soup. Since they're so busy with takeaways, they gave us some free dumplings entree which is very nice of them. Food was good except slightly too sweet to my taste. That's the reason for 4 stars but I'd definitely come back. It's quite smoky in the restaurant, everyone who walked in would start coughing which we did as well initially. Later we got used to it and it didn't bother us that much. Until I got home and my clothes smelled quite smoky too.
First time since new owners, wow, really impressed. Meals had outstanding taste, variety of super fresh vegetables and even the meal size amazed us. Very fast serving. Hands down best Dunedin Thai.
Delicious food, affordable prices and amazing staff! All meals come with free rice (aside from the noodle dishes of course). A great wee suburban gem. Highly recommend the Pad Pong Curry, Chilli Basil, Yellow Curry & Garlic Black Pepper Stirfry
