Nice little family run place. Food is good, but not fiery like authentic Thai food. Recommended.

Really disappointed, not sure if it was just a chef issue or if something went catastrophically wrong. The Thai Green Curry was split and totally trashed, and the Pad Thai had no flavour or sauce, just plain noodles with frozen veg. Very disheartening to spend $75 for the absolute laziest Thai experience I’ve ever experienced. And I know that this isn’t the product they would normally put out because this place has such high reviews… so what went wrong?

Disappointed – Not worth the hype I came here with high expectations after seeing many great reviews and photos, but was let down. The roasted red pork (moo daeng) was dry and dark in colour—looked old and overcooked. The crispy pork (moo krob) was a tiny portion and seemed like it had been re-fried multiple times. Only the sauce was enjoyable. The Thai iced tea was overly sweet with no tea flavour at all. The Kuay Jub was bland and lacked the usual five-spice aroma. Even after seasoning, it didn’t improve. Toppings were generous, but the boiled egg that had been deep-fried didn’t suit the dish. Overall, the food didn’t meet expectations and felt overpriced for the quality.

This Thai restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the level of service provided was commendable. I would highly recommend this establishment and intend to return in the future.

We went to Coba for dinner tonight and our dinner was super delicious, Now Coba is under the new management and the chef was from the old Aroy Thai. We had prawn Pad Thai, Dark noodle soup and Crispy pork with chilli basil. All the dishes were cooked to the perfection with top quality local ingredients especially the crispy pork with chilli basil this is the best one in Christchurch. Plenty of car park , kids friendly and GF-Vegetarian options. Definitely come back.

Pretty good panang curry and fast service! A few more veggies and pieces of meat would have been great since the curry felt too heavy on the coconut milk otherwise.

Really nice place and great food! Beautiful setting for this small place. Prices are more than reasonable abd the dishes were tasty. The only thing is that when we came back and ask for takeaway, the portion weren't huge. Thanks!

Very nice curry, best with roti. Other dishes are ok. Only problem might be the rices are too small for some people

This little gem is really something of a delight. In all my time in Christchurch I've yet to find someone who could really make a decent tom yum soup. Granted this one was ever slightly too sweet but in terms of taste it is by far the most authentic I've ever tried. We also ordered the beef, fish and pad Thai. All of it was really really tasty. I was really surprised as I had not heard of this restaurant before. I will definitely be going back for more!

I was a but disappointed that they only had Thai options mostly and their menu had not been updated, wanted the beef brisket and medium rare beef noodles soup but they only had just beef. The broth was a nice flavour. The wontons were OK though I couldn't taste the flavours described on menu eg coriander. I think one or 2 weren't cooked right through thoroughly. I left still feeling hungry after spending $28..
