The staff there are outstanding and very professional when it comes to nurturing and guiding the children on their early learning journey. While the philosophy is based around learning through play, there is also a kind of gentle discipline and responsibility learning applied by the daily routine which included good hygiene, organising one’s own things and tidying up themselves after a hard day of play. Freemans Bay Kindergarten also encourages and somewhat embraces a collaborative approach with parents which I really appreciated. There were so many learning opportunities created by countless internal projects, outside trips and performances by various local talents that I found it easy to expand on those learning experiences at home thereby increasing the educational impact of the Kindergarten’s initiatives. For me a Kindergarten (as opposed to a Childcare Centre), is all about preparing children for School and I can say without any hesitation Freeman’s Bay Kindergarten did that for my 2 Children exceptionally well.”
