“My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a lunch spot near my hotel on a Monday. Located in a corner of the food court, up the escalator next to Countdown, it immediately caught my eye. Seeing others confidently head there reassured me of my choice. A friendly staff member introduced us to the menu, and we opted for kimpa and a standard-size bibimbap. The bibimbap, though a short wait, was beautifully presented and delicious—wishing we had ordered the larger size. The kimpa was also excellent. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in Wellington.”
“Dining at Polemo the other night was an absolute treat. Nestled right on the waterfront, the restaurant offers not just stunning views but also exceptional food and service. The beef short ribs were a standout—so tender and flavorful they quite literally melted in your mouth. The pork belly roll was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned to bring out its rich flavours. A special shoutout to Kevin for his excellent menu recommendations, and to Kelly who is a dessert queen that panna cotta was phenomenal!”
“There’s a good reason you’re likely to see queues out the door for Goods. They’re consistently baking the BEST pastries, serving it with great coffee and the friendliest service. In my partner’s words: “this place makes me glad I live in Wellington.” Unbeatably cosy vibes.”

“The coffee was amazing, very nutty and chocolatey. The food is also great, the hamburger uses chicken thigh which makes it very juicy and delicious. The fries are also great, very crunchy! The baked Spanish eggs is very flavourful and savoury, a very heart warming dish indeed, great if you’re looking for something that’s soothing and hot✨✨”
“Very obvious to see the owner has put heart into this place. Amazing service and delicious sushi! Also got a free miso soup with my lunch!”
“A hidden gem in Gleneden, if you are after tasty fried kchicken look no further. Dined here for dinner as first timers after reading reviews and now we understand why this place has a high rating. Very friendly customer service. We were welcomed with big smiles and served right away. Sushi was 100% tasty and the fried chicken with mini hashbites were the best I have had. Flavour and coating was just too good, you know the chicken is good when you dont need to add the side sauces on. Prices very reasonable too. With a wide range to try. I would definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu. Thank you for the beautiful food❤️”
“So yummy! Best sushi on the shore and the team are always so lovely and nice. Plus do amazingly fresh and delish but good value platters if your entertaining.”
“If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a warm hug from a nonna who really knows her way around a kitchen, look no further than Lil Ragu, the Italian food truck/restaurant that has stolen my carb-loving heart. First, let’s talk about the food. Every dish here tastes like it was hand-delivered by the gods of Italian cuisine. The mezzaluna - meat stuffed raviolis absolutely blew me away delicate, perfectly cooked, and filled with flavors so rich they should come with a trust fund. The ragu pappardelle? A masterpiece of thick, tender pasta swimming in a rich, savory sauce that could make even the coldest heart melt. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but once you taste it, you’ll understand. These aren’t just meals, they’re edible vacations to the Amalfi coast. The drinks? Worth every cent. What really makes this place shine, though, is the people. The owner, a culinary genius with the friendliest vibe, always has a big smile. The staff? Lovely, attentive, and quick to recommend the perfect dish to suit your mood. This has officially become my go-to spot for a special treat or whenever I need to remind myself that life is better with good pasta and great people. Do yourself a favor and make this your next stop. Your stomach—and your soul—will thank you.”
“Quality ingredients with consistent execution! Very well balanced flavour at a great value for money. It can get hot if you want it extra spicy. This has been a frequent stop for lunch and has never fail to impress. Tried the braised pork today and absolutely yum! Keep up the great work!”
“What a spot!!! Really delicious food that is super fresh and amazing service. It’s a must visit!”
“I absolutely love Makiin Thai. I always go for the Som Tum salad, and it never disappoints. It's consistently very tasty and perfectly refreshing, with that great balance of lemon juice, fish sauce, and garlic. The service is equally wonderful, the team is so lovely, very friendly, and always serves you with a smile. Highly recommend.”
“Great taste and better prices. Have tried this restaurant multiple times and their flavors come through better than most. Ordering some tonight...”
“FB messaged them for details quick response. Ordered over messenger. Picked up at 1pm. Lovely lady had the food ready to go. The samosas come with 3 different fillings: beef, potato & corn n cheese. We got the beef samosas & the potato ones. Both were fresh, perfect ratio of filling to pastry & perfect spice level. My partner who is kiwi found it right for his spice level. The bunny chow had so much meat in it & the gravy was perfectly soaked in the bread. The gravy was so flavorful & it’s the best I’ve had. My partner loved his masala steak shawarma too. He did have to add some yoghurt as it was a teensy bit too spicy for him. They do contactless pickup. Order before you go as they are super busy. Definitely will be back”
