   ごちそうさまでした! Ekiben-Ya is an absolute gem. We found them from their instagram page a while back and have been dying for a chance to get over to Ferrymead and try them. It was so worth the wait! The food was beautiful. Highly recommend the signature bento box to get a mix of things to try. It was fresh, colourful and おいしい (super tasty)! The miso was perfect to warm us up in the Autumn weather. Super sweet and lovely service. Cute wee store. Can't wait to come back and try more.

   Friendly owners, on our way to Sumner we decided to try this new restaurant, ordered a Jyu and a Bendo. Surprised by the variety of ingredients in each box, especially love the freshly cooked crispy pork katsu, best in town! Salmon sushi used Akaroa salmon, with creamy and nutty avocado. Everything is so fresh and balanced flavor. Definitely will back here again!

   Missus and myself went for brunch here. We tried their signature bento box and Pork Jyu. Food very delicious! Menu created thoughtfully and every flavour compliments every bite! You guys should be very proud. Owners/Operators very attentive and really takes care of you. Highly recommended and can’t wait to try the other dishes!

   Had a wonderful dinner with signature bento box and pork jyu. Delicious food and nice vibe to enjoy the meal. Especially I liked Pork katsu. Lovely crunchy and so tasty. Staffs are so kind and nice. Definitely will visit again.
