“. (05/2018) This one is among top 3 in my list of Sushi restaurants in Wellington. Conveniently located over busy Lambton Quay and can be easily missed if not carefully looked out for. Easily accessible. Well managed, organised and nicely maintained. Sushi is on display for the customers to pick around from the standing area with detailed info provided for people with specific dietary requirements. Spacious but limited seating. Excellent ambiance and cosy atmosphere. Self-service. Helpful staff. Plentiful food options. Have not noticed these many delicious Sushi options to choose from for vegans and vegetarians at any other Sushi restaurant. Yum preparations. Good presentation. Offers takeaways. Good place for quick bite. Normally busy during peak hours. Reservation cannot be made in advance. PayWave facility is available at this location. Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. Outdoor seating is not available. There is no dedicated parking area available for this restaurant although street parking can be found around the entrance. Entrance is wheelchair accessible. Liked the experience.”

“The sushi was excellent! The salmon felt like it was melting in my mouth, it was so buttery and smooth. Also I definitely recommend trying the cream puffs, they are really light and it feels like they pop in your mouth. The staff are really friendly! The seating area is a bit tight tho.”

“I have travelled the world. I have been to Europe and I have tasted my uncles home cooked pizza. I have been to Milan and I have been to France. I will say only one thing. The creamy pineapple pizza stands undefeated and very much unchallenged. Who else could try? Miss u crème fraiche”

“As a former NYer, this place nails it. About as far as you can get from NYC and the flavor is spot on. They put the slices back in the oven so the crust is nice and crispy. I would pull 1/4 point if I could for not having shakers of garlic powder or Jamaican beef parties on the menu.”

“Handy little sushi shop within a larger mall complex. I picked up an end of day assortment for $5. Still fresh and tasty, loved the purple rice. It’s a bit of a lucky dip of fillings. Will be back for more :)”

“Love her sushi. Some places don't get the filling to rice ratio right but hers is always perfect. Around $1.70 per piece. Freshly made and if you want something you don't see she will happily make it for you on the spot. Sushi bee and St Pierre's are my go to's for sushi.”

“A small cozy sushi store in front of the Auckland Library. Sushi and rolls are freshly made. Seating is quite limited but most people go there for takeaways. I especially like the salmon cream cheese roll. They also have discounts for those bringing their own container.”

“Sal’s Pizza in Mt Eden delivers a truly authentic New York-style pizza experience. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly baked dough, sizzling pepperoni, and melted mozzarella. It’s the kind of smell that makes your stomach rumble and your expectations rise — and thankfully, Sal’s lives up to the hype. I ordered two classic slices: pepperoni and cheese. Both were exceptional. The pepperoni slice was perfectly crisp on the edges, with generous layers of spicy pepperoni that curled up slightly as they cooked, just like a real New York slice should. The cheese slice had a rich, gooey stretch and the tomato sauce underneath balanced it out with a slightly tangy bite. The crust was spot on — thin and foldable in the center with a nice chew, but still strong enough to hold the toppings without going soggy. The base had that beautiful light char underneath, giving it that authentic pizza oven flavor. What really blew me away though was the pepperoni wheel. It’s not just a gimmick — it’s a masterpiece. “Pizza always cooked to perfection and always consistent. Service is very straight to the point, however, I have noticed new staff working here who are much nicer to deal with than when the store first opened. This is always our go to branch kn the Hibiscus coast and I would highly recommend it.”

“They have the best vegetarian sushi with many different tasty options. You can choose from the wide variety in the cabinet (which they are happy to make fresh if run out) or buy from an even wider variety of delicious hot food made to order; bento boxes, donburi, tempura etc. Can sit in or takeaway. They always have miso soup to order too. Best service, very welcoming and lovely. Highly recommend! My favourite sushi shop.”

“The beef and cheese burger is simple yet absolutely class, the chicken nibbles seem pricey but they’re pretty huge. Overall such good food. Only complaint would be the fries to sauce ratio - the aioli is actually amazing but just slightly not enough. Customer service is excellent - friendly people”
