This is a solid choice, but the existing reviews are obviously not honest. The rice is hard and compacted. At the same time, the price and location makes this a good deal if you are not a purist. I'm glad I ate here and it's still a one-star place.

29/10 unfortunately after my last visit met by hostile staff who gave me versions of japanese food I did not recognize what a shame both ingredients and food prep where poorly executed and taste was terrible. There is lots of choices wellington exercise your feet and look online for other japanese food businesses. Dont recommend at all . 30/4 I returned to this japanese food bar today I am really happy to report the high quality of the food has not changed The food has been kept to a high standard and I again enjoyed a delicious brunch 14/2 Dropped by for a brunch/lunch another top quality delicious meal. Very healthy food options full of nostalgia has a feel like being in a shop in japan nice touch guys Quick update about 6 months to a year later from last visit. Posted photos these guys have a whole host of options for light meals or full on lunch eat in or take away Either eat in or take away absolutely delicious food from hotmeals to sushi or norimaki Totally recommend never dissapointed by there exquisite meals and tasty sushi I totally recommend Great environment you really feel that you are in Japan. Lets support another Wellington business. The city needs great food options and these guys/girls are the real deal Hey Sushi an amazing sushi bar in Willis Street Wellington. I ate breakfast there today and enjoyed a fried chicken on rice. There ingredients are authentic and the taste that of Japan and delicious. Highly recommend Japanese food uses miso soups and wakami and nori [seaweed] Seaweed is loaded with minerals that are absorbed into your body. Miso is widely used in Japan by all and is known in Japan for its anti cancer properties

Went here last week. Cant wait to go back. Had the chicken karaage ramen. Amazing broth. You know it's a good broth when you drink all of it. The chicken also went really well with the broth. Even the seaweed was good and I don't normally eat the seaweed. Went back for the katsu chicken curry out of the 7 places I have been to I say theirs is the best lots of sauce full of flavour.

Handy little sushi shop within a larger mall complex. I picked up an end of day assortment for $5. Still fresh and tasty, loved the purple rice. It’s a bit of a lucky dip of fillings. Will be back for more :)

A wide spectrum of selections of sushi! Love the egg roll ones and pumpkin ones. Full of flavor and the price is reasonable. Service is prompt and friendly especially in the peak hours. Will come often for lunch. Not sure about their fried dumplings and tempura though, which were looked like average.
