I order 2 boxes sushi yesterday, one salmon and one Bento boxes $44.5. Salmon one very fishy, rice is under cook, dry and salty. Bento have fried chicken, was older can be a night before. Never had sushi like that in wellington, worse one so far. Never come back.
Midland sushi is hands down the very best sushi place in wellington, if not wellington the whole of new zealand. I am a regular customer and I've never had a bad experience. The sushi is so fresh and the summer rolls are to die for, literally the best summer rolls i've ever had (especially the chicken one). The lady at the checkout is so lovely. Definitely some of the best service Ive ever received. Today I went in and had a piece that was a little bit broken and the lady at the counter gave me an extra piece to make up for it, I was very grateful. Their prices are well worth the quality and I will continue to go there for my work lunches as long as it is around. 10/10 all around ⭐️⭐️
I ordered via Uber Eats today. The salmon sushi taste too fishy, doesn't taste fresh. All sushi was most thick rice, hardly any salmon and avocado was so tiny. Spicy Aoili Chicken Fries were missing. I tried to ring immediately when I got the order, but no answer. I was charged for food items I didn't get. They didn't even call me back despite leaving a voice mail. They should refund me.
Very good sushi, the usual on offer, very nice staff and delicious chicken skewers.

Great sushi, fresh salmon nigri with a bit of wasabi is the best! Chill in and out stop, takeaways are best for this place. Highly recommend
After living in Japan for years I can officially say that this is the absolute BEST sushi in Wellington.
