   I would like to provide feedback regarding the One Sushi Porirua branch. This is my third time having a very disappointing experience there, and I want to make it clear that this feedback is for the Franchisee Operational Manager, not the business owner. Although I live in Porirua, I usually travel to the One Sushi Lower Hutt branch every week because the service, quality, and value there are consistently excellent. The staff always greet customers politely, they never charge extra for a little more sauce, and their portion sizes are noticeably more generous than Porirua. Unfortunately, the Porirua branch is the complete opposite. The staff never greet customers, and the general attitude seems to be: “come in, buy, and leave.” They put noticeably less chicken in the boxes and then slide extra pieces back into the tray, assuming customers won’t notice. Each time I have visited, I have left with a bad experience. I normally spend $60–$80 at the Lower Hutt store, but at Porirua I don’t feel like even $5 is worth it. On my most recent visit, the staff didn’t listen to my request about which sauces I wanted, and I even saw them hand me an old order that had been taken out from an online delivery mix-up right in front of me. I only go to the Porirua branch because I live here, and sometimes it’s difficult to get to Lower Hutt when I’m in a rush. However, after these repeated experiences, I will no longer go back to the Porirua store and will recommend others to choose the Lower Hutt branch instead. Thank you.

   Grabbed some sushi at this spot the other night; it was packed! Even though it was busy, the service was super fast. My food was pretty good, nothing fancy but hit the spot. It was a nice, easy dinner. Would definitely go back again for a quick bite.

   Came across this gem from a friend. Went during the week day lunch time rush. It was a vibe and good to know that it was popular spot to the locals.. tried the chicken katsu curry on rice. Forgot to take pictures. Staff was great, came out promptly, dined in amongst the lunch time bustle which was still a nice vibe. The portion was great, and the meal was delicious, succulently thick rich with a curried gravy texture balanced out and filled out with the rice along with the nice crisp katsu pieces.. highly recommended.

   Got crispy chicken ramen. Usually a fav from one sushi. But here at Porirua they put the crispy chicken in with the soup so now its soggy chicken on 2min noodles. Suggestion: put the crispy chicken in a separate plate with sauce on it

   So much pre made sushi. But everyone queues for the Katsuri chicken donburi. Hot deep fried chicken on a layer of coleslaw and a bed of rice or noodles. $11 for a small bowl. Trust me, that's more than enough for one person. In fact, it will feed a teenaged mum and her toddler. Mayo and bbq sauce drizzled on top and a sprinkle of blackened sesame seeds for crunch and smokey flavour.
