The chicken katsu noodle bowl was really good, they gave me a ton of chicken but the noodles were a bit bland. The lady that served me was a bit rude but overall It was nice.
Place was quite empty when we were there around 11am. There is a beutiful lady on the cashier offered us some chicken katsu to try for free once she knew we are first time trying out one sushi. The chicken katsu was delicious that we had to order something with it. I ordered spicy ramen noodle soup with the chicken katsu. The noodle is so good, its just the type of ramen i like which is not soggy and its very qq. The soup is savoury pork tonkotsu with a hint of sesame oil and its delicious. Its 16 NZD for the meal and its so filling. Definitely will go back for the price is so reasonable, food is tasty and service is good. There is variety of sushi too which i have tried the tuna sushi, salmon avocado sushi and salmon with cream cheese. Keep up the good work.
Cheap and cheerful. Good place for a quick lunch takeaway. Better eaten on the beach since the shop is not that well appointed. The Chicken katsu is juicy AND crunchy and with a good serving of coleslaw makes an almost "healthy" meal. Recommended!
Staff very friendly and considerate, food is top notch and was served very fast. I now will prefer this store over any of the one sushi outlets
Asked for my personal likings and they were delivered. No problems to be heard +chicken is way better here than any one sushi
Sushi is so fresh and tasty here. I don't rate sushi from the One Sushi franchises but One Sushi Petone is the exception (I'd say it's almost the same quality as Sushi Bi)! I highly recommend the spicy seared salmon nigiri.
I understand that it was a busy time of day when I ordered lunch, but the service was not like any other time I have been here, very disappointed. I had to repeat my order at least 4 times in which they kept asking me. I waited 20mins and they kept taking more orders. It wasn't till I had to stand right next to the cashier that they would be prompted to put together my katshu bowls. I usually like this place and it's always fast but today was not it.. Most of my break waiting...
