“A short Gondola ride up to the top of Mnt Cavendish, a great outlook over the city and a view of some sheep in the paddocks below, but it was the view at the top that looks towards Lyttleton Harbour and the city is spectacular! Very smooth ride and not really that high off ground,(I still wouldn't want to fall out, though), but within reach of some with height fears.”

Would be good if they increased their range of light wines. Very competitive in pricing and often undercuts supermarkets for beer. Close with wine.”

“I love going to the farm market on Sundays when I'm free. I always find new things like cheeses, salami, pastries, relish that are worth trying. There are also several fresh vegetable options at a good price. It's also a good place for coffee in the morning. I always leave with a bag full of healthy ingredients to consume during the week. An important tip is to bring cash. If you forget, you can exchange it there, paying a fee. Some sellers accept cards. There is also live music, which makes the atmosphere more pleasant. The market is inside a covered area and there is plenty of grass outside if you want to bring your pet. You can also find organic vegetables, options gluten free, plants, flowers, cheese, eggs...”

“First visit in this Japanese restaurant in the lunch time. We arrived early and few customers were already inside. This is one of the few authentic Japanese cuisine restaurants in town. As you enter, it seems like you are in Japan, great decorations, long bar featuring traditional customs. Food came quickly, we ordered some chicken karage for our chidren, my wife ordered salmon with salad and me lamen. All tasted fantastically nice, soft rice and well seasoned. Owners are Japanese, that explains much of the quality and precision. Looking for another good experience in the future.”

“The idea of Pizza Hut was never appealing until Tuakau branch opened. I can’t even tell you how many times we have ordered from there now and not one pizza has ever been a disappointment! Great pizza and if you are doing a bulk order management will look after you! So call them up to order.”

So nice to be able to choose from a great selection of small plates that suit all tastes and appetites. Our group of 6 chose 2 plates each to share. Cost per head very reasonable and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the beans dish, great for sharing and delicious. It was super easy to get it checked, they found the issues and communicated options and costs with us and fixed it quickly with no problems. We also asked to get a WOF done at the last minute and they took care of it very quickly. Great service and price, we will definitely go back.”
