Great spot to enjoy lunch when the tide is high. Not the best place to sit when estuary is exposed. There is definitely a strong seaweed smell which is nobodies fault just something to be aware of.
Nice spot to relax and get photos of sunset and sunrise.
Nice quiet place tΕ have a session haha. Also for relaxing and walking. But dirty waste water in the mudflats
Best movie ever. Beautiful whatever the tide.
Awesome waistdeep spot with any wind direction from the West. 2 hrs beofre and 3 hrs after high tide. Great for practicing tricks. Beginners area a little walk towards the west. Water quality is questionable...as it used to be an outlet...or so I have been told.
Chch city council have banned freedom camping here, with no-one around on a regular basis anymore rubbish has accumulated, it's in a state of disrepair and an unsavory element of society have now been using it for nefarious means.
